this app doesn’t work most of the time, heaven forbid you try to reset the wifi or lose connection because you will literally not be able to get this litter box back on the wifi
Little Buggy
The app is not bad for just being launched a few months ago. I am able to control all my devices with no issue. There is a slight delay at times when trying to update a setting. It may require multiple attempts, but that has only happened a few times. I had to replace the motherboard on one of my devices. This created a new Popur device in my app. When trying to remove the old device in the Product List section, I am unable to. Not sure if this is an app issue or device issue (iPhone 17 Pro Max iOS 26)

Notifications Do Not Work
A simple notification that the waste bin is full would be the most basic feature. It gives you options to enable various notifications, but it will not save your selections. Very disappointed with the app.
Buggy
I cannot connect my machine to wifi, and therefore cannot add the device to the app. When I get to the WiFi screen it just says it’s trying to connect to an “unknown WiFi”, but doesn’t allow me to select any different option. If I click the field it takes me to app settings.

The app wouldn’t connect to my litter box at all. The box works fine. Filled it up, plugged it in and walked away. Does great! Back to the app. First of all there were loads of “options” that when tapped on just says coming soon? Why is the tech world the only place where it’s acceptable to release an unfinished product to market? Awful app. Amazing litter box.

Buy a litter robot instead. The frustration from features not working, build quality and app functionality are what I experience with Chinese knock off products.
Th Popur7 is extremely messy. It worked for one week, and I’m unable to update the firmware (the unit does not work without this update) because of the lack of functionality on this app.
I have encountered nothing but issues since purchase. The return instructions also indicate that if the unit has been used in any way or if any packaging material is not included in the return, the purchaser will be fined.
Please look at the critical reviews and stay well away from this app.

I like this litter box. I was not a Kickstarter supporter. I didn’t even know of this company when that was going on. But I did get in on the pre-order from the website. And so I’m on the early side of using this app. And this app is clearly much better than the other two stat reviews as of January 20, 2026.
So yeah, there really isn’t any concerns with the app. It has a lot of features. Customization that is just unheard of in all other litter boxes that I know of.. And I’ve owned about six of them from three different companies. I have like 10 cats…
So while the app is definitely a work in progress. I wanted to give it a bump in review for the progress that has been done. It definitely doesn’t deserve the one star review I seen from 10 days ago.

Don’t think it works
I’ve been using the litter box and app for over a week now, the cats have definitely used the box as there’s droppings in the collection bin, but the app shows zero cycles? I turn “on” features but then when I go back in the app they’re magically off again. I’m just honestly not sure this app does anything at all.

A Good Start
So happy we received the Popur S7. Our cats started using it right away.
I supported the Popur S7 via Kickstarter, so I knew that app development is underway and features will come over time. The app covers the basics to get started, so I am satisfied with it. Saving the extra stars for when new features arrive.

Released way too early but improving
While the app should have had at least basic functionality upon initial release, it is getting better. More stats are included and more promised functionality is starting to materialize. That said, there’s still a lot of work to be done before this app can be considered “good.”
Trying to remain patient
I think a small refund should be given. Not sure how I’m going to go on my work trips without ensuring my pets are ok with this littler box. I shouldn’t have to purchase another box but it’s looking like I’ll have to spend more money..
Not functional
Doesn’t give me any valid stats or percent full status. Works as a remote control to initiate a clean but that’s about it.
App is incomplete
A lot of things do not work in the app, stats do not track correctly, 21 lifetime cycles but zero counts for automatic, scheduled and manual clean? What?

Why?
Why bother releasing this yet when it literally has zero options? Everything you click says will be available soon. You can manually make the litter box work but I’d rather just get notifications if it’s full or being used
No notifications?
The app is really like a beta version or something, doesn’t even support notifications? Who has time to constantly check and the status doesn’t seem updated, it displays old status only. Can’t know if the box was used or not. Really not ready for release.
Popur s7 app
Doesn’t really work. The stats haven’t updated for me. When i select to enable certain modes it doesn’t save. I had to try to set up sleep mode time slot over 10 times before it actually saved. I still haven’t been able to enable “no troll” mode. There are a lot of modes and options but it doesn’t seem like i can actually control them and so i don’t feel like i can actually control this litter box.

Terrible
Everything about this app has been terrible. First of all, they don’t do a normal make-your-password-and-sign-on. It’s like a conversation with a chat, but you can’t even see your password as you’re typing it in for the first time. Then they want your location, and you have to give them all kinds of access. Then it doesn’t even work. You go back out to the home screen or go to add a cat, and the machine disappears.

Released way too early
There’s bits & pieces that are in Chinese only. The app needs to be reopened to refresh anything that’s happened. Hardly anything actually works from within the app—none of the extra stuff, not even to trigger a cleaning cycle. And yes, I updated the firmware.
