Short answer: Do not get this option.
App is designed by folks who do not use dash cams clearly. Connectivity will almost never work or conflict with each other. Good luck being at home with your own WiFi on and then the car WiFi on and then having multiple phones interfering. Whatever happened to simplicity with a usb-c cable or Bluetooth? Thankfully the camera still records files directly to microSD card for you to manually get clips off of otherwise this product overall would be truly hopeless.

For stable use
1) Disable car’s hotspot temporarily. 2) put your phone into Airplane mode. 3) connect directly to the Dashcam with wifi and app. If you eliminate the extraneous cellular, wifi and (Bluetooth) “interference” and connect directly to the Cam, it works very well. Go about your business, get out of airplane mode, turn your car’s hotspot back on and be on your way. You’re welcome!

The worst app and usage I have come across ! For the porsche brand to allow this app and really important function to be so poor is embarrassing !!!

Have the Dashcam a few days. It is a real pain to connect to the app if it does connect! For an expensive camera, cables , installation it sucks!
