The worst app and usage I have come across ! For the porsche brand to allow this app and really important function to be so poor is embarrassing !!!

Have the Dashcam a few days. It is a real pain to connect to the app if it does connect! For an expensive camera, cables , installation it sucks!
It works
It’s certainly not the easiest app to connect. The trick is to turn on airplane mode, disconnect from any surrounding WiFi and disable Apple CarPlay. Once these are all set, open the app and it works just fine. The video quality is good and clear.

Worst app ever
By far the worst app I’ve ever tried to use. No matter what sequence I attempt, I’ve been unable to connect my phone to the camera. I spent 2 hours at the dealer and they managed to get it to connect once but as soon as I left their property it hasn’t worked since. I’m gobsmacked that Porsche would release an app this bad.

By far the worst Dashcam app ever used
Can’t believe a product this expensive has such a poorly designed app. The dashcam keeps disconnecting, and half the time it won’t even connect at all. I expected way better from Porsche — this feels like a cheap off-brand app, not something worthy of a premium vehicle. Please fix the connectivity issues ASAP.

Disgrace to Porsche Brand
This app is by far the worse app I have ever downloaded. It is impossible to connect the phone to the dash cam, and when you do either the app crashes or nothing works. Disgrace considering how expensive the camera is.
Poor design, terrible connection
This is by far the worst application i ever used. Imagine paying over $1500 for dashcam and installation and get this trash app. Unfortunately using it is super hard, keep disconnecting from phone, takes 5 minutes to playback a video and terrible UI, i hope it gets fixed but i doubt.

I experienced the same frustration that a lot of reviewers have expressed, that the app would not connect to the Porsche Tequipment dashcam. I discovered a workaround that appears to work. Close the Porsche dashcam app completely then disable both Bluetooth and cellular access for the Porsche Dashcam through your phone’s settings. Reopen the Porsche dashcam app and it should now connect. When it connects, it’s very stable. The app needs some work but so far so good! BTW, the dashcam still records even if it doesn’t connect to the app. You just need to retrieve the footage from the microSD card through a microSD card reader.

After hours at the dealer, hours at home, hours reading and searching the internet, I gave up. $2000 in cameras that even Porsche can’t seem to get to work. Save yourself the time and frustration, buy something else.
After days at the dealer, found out the cameras will not work with a phone on T-Mobile. Switched to Verizon and the app worked. Verified this with 4 phones from dealership employees. Only carrier that worked was Verizon regardless of the maker or version of the phone.

Impossible to connect to smart phone
Who designed and wrote this code had no idea what error catching and recovery means! Pathetic given I paid $160k for the car and $500 for the cam

No connection
Can’t connect with IPhone!
So Disappointing
Spent a lot of $ for factory dashcam prewiring and front and rear cameras at dealership for my 992C4S only to not be able to use the cameras due to this worthless and frustrating app. Lost count of how many times I have tried to connect and YouTube videos. No matter what I do I get connection error messages.
