About

Patient Mobile App (Primary Focus): • User Access: Both retail patients and employer patients will have access to the mobile application. It is preferred to have the app available from day one to ease the transition for users accustomed to existing apps like Spruce. • Onboarding & Profile: ◦ Includes email verification and password creation, with clear password requirements. ◦ Users can reset their password. ◦ The profile section will allow users to view their profile details, membership information, documents, medications, and educational materials. • Membership & Billing: ◦ Patients can pay via the mobile application and update/change their credit card information. ◦ Supports designating specific cards for specific charges (e.g., membership, labs). ◦ Users can view invoices, payment history, and statements. Payment history will show invoice numbers, amounts, and methods, and statements can be filtered by date range and downloaded as PDFs for tax purposes. ◦ Legally, patients must be able to cancel their membership online directly through the app without extra steps. • Communication: ◦ Features sections for unread messages, upcoming appointments, and tasks. ◦ Patients can create new messages, select a subject, and attach files (e.g., lab reports, images, PDFs). ◦ Messages can be marked as urgent or non-urgent. After-hours urgent messages will trigger auto-responses and notify alternative providers. Non-urgent messages will be processed as tasks for providers. ◦ A unified messaging feature will combine functionalities from Spruce and Elation Passport [Previous turn, 251]. It will include audio calls, urgent message markers, and message scheduling (from the provider side). Message threads can be closed and new ones opened. ◦ A badge system will notify users of unread messages. ◦ Multi-language support will be available for patient-facing features like chat and legal forms. • Appointments: ◦ Users can view, request, and manage appointments, including virtual and in-person options. ◦ Appointment reminders will be sent via email and SMS, with a link to confirm. ◦ Patients can fill out demographic information and upload insurance photos ahead of time to save front desk time. ◦ Self-scheduling capabilities are desired, though their functionality will be carefully designed. • Health Records & Documents: ◦ Patients will have access to their health records, upcoming appointments, current medications, and latest reports [Previous turn, 490]. ◦ They can view and manage medications, request refills, and see details from past visits and lab reports. ◦ An option to print vaccination and immunization records for school or work purposes will be included. ◦ Consent for video chats is required only upon the first use.
