Needs improvement
Since the release of iOS 18, the app is in need of improvements. As another reviewer mentioned, the user is unable to enter landscape mode without first accessing the menu first. Also, now that iOS 18.3.2 has released, remote playback is not working and the live feeds can only be viewed by one user at a time. Before the iOS 18.3.2 update, at least two people could watch live feeds simultaneously without issues and remote playback worked. I use the app quite often in assisting law enforcement and a properly functioning app is essential to protecting family, friends, and loved ones.

App works sometimes
My Backstreet cameras work great, my problem is with the Pro-vue mobile app used to view them. Once in a while I’ll open the app and my camera feeds will show, but most of the time it just says “Offline” with no camera feeds. So if you want to actually see what’s happing around your home you should probably use a different system. It’s nice when it works but that pretty rare.

I love the great visual views that I have. One thing that bothers me is my # 3 camera keeps going in and out during the day. I have had the cable tested, which test good. I can’t figure this out. My family love the views around the premises. If that problem is solved I would change my star rating to five stars. Thanks.

App doesn’t work properly with IOS 18 can’t use the app on IPad when turned horizontal useless app.
Works great…before iOS 18
App has worked perfectly for my needs. No issues at all. But…rotating of of the camera selected is not possible upon initial launch of the app since the iOS 18 update. You must access the menu first, select a menu choice, return back to the cameras and then the app allows you to rotate to see a widescreen camera view. Please fix. Thank you!

Please fix notifications.
The program does a pretty good job. I see all of my cameras just fine. It is good that I can program which cameras and conditions will give notifications. The problem is that there is a place to set delays so that you don’t get the same alert for the same condition every 4 or 5 seconds. I have tried setting that but nothing changes. I went out to pick up debris from the last storm and in 10 minutes I had 212 alerts even though I set a 5 minute delay. Of course in the new version, that delay option appears to be gone. Not exactly the answer I was looking for.

Prefect of Home System
Have four cameras connected, system works great. I just wish it was Apple TV comparable so I could have it up on my big screen TV sometimes.
The cameras and nvr are good but the app …
This app blows. Never works well. I wish I had a nickel for every time it says “ offline “
Not enough controls on mobile
1st issue is the problem with installing on iPad! After many attempts we still cannot get the app to install my cameras! 2nd We should be capable of setting up some parameters of where you would motion detector monitoring & setup some notifications to our phones or tablets etc. Let’s start there!

This app does not work on iPhone what’s the purpose of having cameras if you can’t monitor them or get notifications useless.

- on iOS it doesn’t remember the last favorite used, Android does
- there is no way to tell which presets are set without actually trying them, please include the date it was set as well as the value if it is human readable
- cameras -
The ProVu cameras (at least older ones) have a crappy software interface. It can take minutes to login to set them up. They seem to use software from China, that sometimes gets stuck in Chinese. I also have security concerns because of that.

I’m on the fence with BackStreet surveillance. At first this App was very crappy but then it started working somewhat better and the improvements have certainly helped with the latest updates. However their Tech support is nonexistent. I have yet to receive a call or email back from them with the camera issues I’ve had. Some things I’ve figured out on my own. But still have issues with some of my cameras. Update, App has lots of connection issues. I would buy from a different camera company with better service for their App. Be aware and stay away from this company terrible service, cameras, and App!!

Unreliable
Our security system is from Back street surveillance and they say to use this app.
Pro vue is so unreliable that our company is looking at a whole new system because this app is so bad. It looks great in descriptions of what you can do and how it works. False advertising. None of us have came anywhere close to the functionality they claim to have. Probably 80% of the time you cant even get to the cameras.
That’s a shame to since our video surveillance system is great. They just teamed up with a boat anchor for the remote monitoring.

Installed 4 cameras one keeps going dark have to double click in inlarge photo comes on , then click to 4 screen works all work ok every time must do this , first week all worked ok one has snow on screen
Audio failure on iPhone
I lose audio when I download video to my iPhone. There are no help topics for this. I’ve looked all over the app and all over my iPhone and nothing.

This is my second house system and all ways pleased. Great product and great customer service which is hard to find these days. One think that’s not 100 percent yet is the app I’m having problems login in to view some times. But over all 99.9 percent satisfied.
