7 year nightmare
This thermostat was installed by our HVAC contractor. We have no issues with him, but this thermostat app has been a complete nightmare for seven years. The scheduling is not intuitive. Only gives you two time frames per day that that you can set your schedule and that is, if you can set your schedule, because it’s absolutely impossible to figure out. And the two time frames are within only eight hour periods one in the morning and one at night. Once you said it, you cannot remotely turn it off. You have to set it to a high temperature in order to deactivate. I have only been more confused and gaslit after I call Customer Service. When I call Customer Service, I say hello..how are you and I get silence. There’s no friendliness or warmth and aside from that, when I explain my issue, I come away even more confused and the solutions are never accurate and create more questions. I have been going through this problem because this is a vacation home that’s 1500 miles away and in a Thermostat app one of the most basic things you want is a simple to use scheduling application and this is anything but simple and easy to use. Fortunately, my life is going to change for the better because I have finally come to the decision that I’m gonna get rid of all four of my PRO1 thermostats and switch to Nest. It appears that you have a faulty app and a glitchy scheduling and connectivity set of issues. I just wish your Customer Service reps were more helpful and just a little bit more friendly and honest.

Good app and connections to Alexa and Google Home I Wish it had dark mode for when accessing app overnight so not blinding myself when I open the app in the middle of the night.
Bad UX/UI
Back in Mar‘25 we tried this app with the wifi thermostat controller and it was horrible. We just had a tech here today 1/30/25 and app has never been improved. Too many weak interfaces to list here, but the bottom line, we ended up going back to an analog thermostat. Almost a year later and the app is STILL unintuitive, too many steps the change the temperature, doesn’t consistently go from AC to HEAT automatically, like most other units have been doing for decades. I recommend that you DO NOT use this brand or their wifi thermostats.

Not the best
Not a great app. It consistently will say that it can’t find the wifi signal even though I check the thermostat and it’s still connected to wifi. Another minor gripe is them taking away the ability to have a temperature hold be for any amount of time not just a default 4 hours.

Won’t let me login
Logged me out , won’t let me log back in via Facebook … customer support no help , now I can’t adjust my temperature— this is my vacation home 11hrs away
Mn garage
Can't get wifi access. We've tried tech support, tried a different router. My phone gets on the ti network but then says it can't connect to the router 4.5 network. Hate this. Everything else works but this thermostat.

I got up this morning. I was chilly so I wanted to change it from AC to heat, but there’s nothing under my thermostat. It’s completely blank so I need some help. I’m hoping this doesn’t become a regular issue because this is so much better than the nest.

Do not recommend.
I’ve had this app for a while. Will not stay connected to my WiFi. Had to call for help multiple times over time. Not worth it at all. Go with Resideo. I have no trouble with their app at all at my office!
Terrible App
Not intuitive. Confusing. Horrible. Why did my electrician propose this???
App connection issues
App has disconnected from wifi and won’t reconnect. Network error for 2 days - and my WiFi is fine. Now receiving error emails that hvac is running constantly which it’s not. Time for a new thermostat it seems.
Frustrated
Keeps hanging up. Worse now than before upgrade. Come on let’s get it together. Keeps losing connection
Newest update doesnt stay connected
Used to be ok-ish performance and reliability, but since new update to the white screen app it doesnt stay connected. Not the thermostats they are connected, but the app
