Great math, but confusing

I first got this app for my now senior in high school when she was in fourth grade; now my second grader going into third grade has been enjoying it for this past year! Today I got a email saying that my premium membership is canceled though I never requested that! Also, some of the quests are very confusing on how to finish especially the one with the rabbits versus fox; we found most of the eggs, but it never let us finish or complete that quest

The worst of all

My kids don’t even have to count their questions any more thanks to this

Beware: scam!Took 5 YEARS and countless hours of trying to be able to cancel!

I have been contacting this company for 5 years using all methods listed in order to cancel. Today I was FINALLY allowed to cancel, but no refund.

My kids used to use prodigy and then outgrew it and so I went to cancel but had forgotten my login. I emailed and asked them to cancel but instead they wrote back asking more questions which I never saw because it went to spam.

Thinking I had not gotten a reply I started calling. On the phone I was told the only way to cancel was through my account and when I could not get in they said they would get back to me but did not and would ghost me when I called to check in.

I was finally able to get into the account and guess what? No account listed! So I was not even able to cancel online.

Once a year or so I would dedicate a few hours to trying to fix this. It never worked until yesterday when they were very short with me but did cancel tue account. I explained everything and they saw the emails and they said still no refund. At least I will no longer be paying for my adult children to not play these games anymore. But I have only ever been treated like this by scammers. Be careful. Only do this if it is on a card where you can cut them off through the card (like Amex). Or better yet, find a better option.

Features not available

There r very limited features on the app. Just two things I could do. It’s very frustrating. When asked for support it takes days to get he respond back.

Great for homeschooling

Love this tool, helps so much with multiple kids

No idea why schools promote this. 3 minutes math, 30 mins addiction building

Schools must stop advocating this to students - everyone that reads this, pls write to your school to stop recommending this to kids. The other comment about how this is pay-to-play disguised as education app is absolutely my view as well.

Ok

Pretty good for me

Signs me out

Every time I use this app it signs me out. Super annoying.

App does nothing useful

Can’t do any child management from this app other than setting question goals. Is that the sole reason this app exists? How useless.
Should be able to control passwords and account settings - can’t. I should be able to change the child’s grade settings for each subject. Can’t do that either.
We have an ultra subscription and there are no settings for the science module.
What is this app for??
We love prodigy but account management makes me want to poke my eyes out.

Annoying issue

The tab for logging in closes before I can save my password

Pay-to-Play Disguised as Education

I strongly dislike this game. While it’s marketed as an educational math tool, Prodigy provides very little real educational value. Instead, it functions more like a pay-to-play social game that uses common engagement tactics to keep kids hooked on evolving pets, collecting rewards, and earning in-game currency.

In schools where this app is popular, social hierarchies often form around who has a paid premium membership. Kids without it can feel left out, which shifts the focus even further away from learning.

Rather than meaningfully improving math or writing skills, the game seems designed to encourage screen time and in-app purchases. The educational component feels secondary to the monetization and reward systems.

I would not recommend this as a serious learning tool.

Awesome! My child get motivated doing Math exercises.

Not worth it

We paid for the full version, it advertised lots of cool features but I find them limited and lacking. The β€œreports” offer no real information, just a %. Reports don’t include the science section either.

Not working

I tried to log in my account but I couldn’t get to and I even double checked but it didn’t work

Targeted and clunky

First time using, my daughter got β€˜would you like a buddy?’ Notifications followed by constant in-app purchasing options. Game is clunky to play (30 mins only 3 maths questions). AVOID. UNSAFE.

Very disappointing and misleading experience.

The pricing currency was set to USD, but this was not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. This caused confusion and unexpected charges.

I selected a monthly payment option, yet the full amount was charged at once, which is unacceptable and misleading.

On top of that, cancelling the membership is unnecessarily difficult, and the website is not user-friendly at all, especially for parents.

Overall, the payment process lacks transparency, and the user experience is poor. I would not recommend this service unless these issues are properly addressed.
