No point to this app
This app serves no purpose. Has no troubleshooting or alert notifications in the event there are issues during cycle. For the price of this pool vacuum you can hire someone to come out and do your pool for two years.

I’d say 3.5 out of 5 stars is proper. That rounds up to 4.
I’ve had my robot for three years now. Makes keeping our 38,000 gal pool clean so much easier and less time consuming. Worth every penny.
As for the app, yes, it does seem you have to be within 10 or so feet to the base to connect. But it’s Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi, so that’s expected. I’ve never had issue with connecting.
Unfortunately, the only thing the app is good for is if your base is located in a hard to reach place (I have to bend to the ground to get to mine) and to be able to go over an especially dirty spot/area by using the “manual” function and drive the robot there. But it’s tedious. (First world problems?)
There could be so much more functionality in the app, but obviously someone didn’t want to put the time or effort into doing the programming for it.

Disappointed
Absolutely terrible and pointless app. An app for this type of device should provide basic functionality and reliable connectivity. The user should be able to define the cleaning schedule (days of week, time of day, cleaning mode). The manual drive is a waste of coding - it would be much more beneficial to know the cycle length and how much time is left.

Honestly would have given zero stars for this ap if able.
Never connects to the unit. I have had the pool robot for 2 years. The robot itself operates fantastic. The ap which was a nice selling point is Abysmal. It has never connected despite multiple attempts. Worthless and frustrating.
What an Awful App and Product
To start, the robot never connects to the phone. I’m always greeted with the lovely message “Oops the module can’t connect to the robot: be sure to plug the blue cable in.” This has to be one of the worst apps I’ve ever downloaded on my phone…it’s a dud—never works!!
Predatory Business Model
Pentair as a company takes advantage of the consumer by forcing contractor involvement to get full warranty. You should not have to jump through hoops to get maximum benefit of a product. If you can avoid them, I would.
Doesn’t work at all
This app doesn’t work at all. Stood right night to the power supply and power cycled several times and nothing.
Worthless buying Bluetooth model!!
Such crap! The app is HORRIBLE!! There is more functionality on the base than the app. I’m very disappointed that the app cannot do anything! Manual drive is a joke!

Can hold phone literally 3 inches from unit and have all Bluetooth settings open and nothing.

What’s the point?
This informs me that the cleaner is working. I can look outside my window and see that.
It doesn’t tell me how much of the cycle is remaining. It just tells me it’s a 2 hour cycle.
It doesn’t let me set the time of day I want the cycle to begin. If I want a 2AM Start time to take advantage of lower electric rates apparently I have to start a daily cycle program at 2AM in my robe and slippers?
It’s maddening to have this much technology in a pool sweep only to ignore the user’s need for flexibility and useful communication.
I think I paid an extra $300 for the caddy that comes with it, although I EXPECTED to be able to monitor.... REALLY MONITOR, and manage the robot.

Prowler app
Doesn’t connect..... now it won’t work manually...... should not have downloaded app..... no number to call Pentair for customer service.....bad
Not able to drive manually
Like the prowler 930 that I have but I as many others have stated haven’t been able to use the Manual dive capability does not work. Any resolution to this problem?
Severely limited
This app has severely limited functionality compared to the apps for the Dolphin brand robots, which don’t work with the Pentair Warrior. Don’t bother with the Warrior SI if you’re expecting anything out of the app.
Needs major improvements
The app doesn’t really work. Please fix it or remove it.

Continue to receive error messages that app can’t communicate with cleaner and to restart and try again. App really doesn’t offer much more than manual drive anyway.
Does not work with Prowler 920
I have a Prowler 920, and this app only recognizes the power supply not the cleaner itself. Despite numerous attempts per instructions, app does not communicate with cleaner.

Primitive app to good cleaner
I don’t think that I have ever had an app that was this ineffective. Connection is very difficult and sometimes impossible, range is ridiculously short distance (the app itself says that you need to hold phone 3ft/1m from control unit, though one troubleshooting guide says 30ft/10m), and level of manual control is laughably primitive/ not responsive. Desperately needs upgrading!!

Let’s you turn it on and off and that’s it...
This product is astounding and incredibly awesome! but the app does not do much at all. I just finished setting up the app for my parents prowler they recently got. The app features are stated that you can drive it manually. When we try on both iOS device phones of my parents, they both just get error messages saying “something went wrong”. Would be really nice to go and get especially dirty spots here and there. Also would be nice to have full functionality of the wheel cart panel via app(scheduling and cleaning mode) work as well. Hopefully an update will come out to get it working across various devices and mobile os’s. :)
