Great, but Very Limited App

This app is super useful in what it does. Frustratingly, it is also far more limited in what it does than expected.

The app allows users to choose the different locations (communities) and departments (fire, police, and/or ambulance) that are called to assist in situations. The problem is that, after you choose all the locations and departments you want to be informed about, the app then requires you to pick only one of your chosen options to receive notifications on. For example, you have 3 nearby fire departments that serve areas of your town, you can only get alerts from one of those fire departments at a time. So you might get alerts about a house to your left that is on fire, but not the one to your right.

Good to have

Up to date information

POV

I am pleased w/ PP for the most part but for only the bare minimum information. Thats all you get. Sure it would be a great thing if there was quicker real updates on “serious” fires or emergencies. I also think hearing realtime dispatch calls are pretty cool but there is no option to just hear calls specific to the area of our concern. I am ok with Pulse Point and understand it limits but it could be amazing.

Nosy app

I love how I can be nosy about what is going on in the neighborhood. I do wish it also covered police and ambulances though.

Awesome

The response time is awesome reporting it. Thanks so much

Fantastic Notifications

Great information as it happens

Static is more frequent

On the busiest night of the year 7/4. All I’m hearing is static and not the transmitted sound between the FF and dispatch. Happens more often now.
Deleted and reloaded app, submitted to help, etc.

Where’s Pulse Point

Why did all posts of county disappear?

Receive Radio Reports/Reception

You have a good app over here, but it seems like agencies don’t wanna cooperate, especially with us retirees or ones that are current with administration with County to receive radio transmissions. It really would be a good idea to see if you could reach out to the agencies and see what they say. I know other sites like Radio Reference and Broadcastify do that. Let me know what you think.
It would be really helpful

Fire Buffing

I’m a fire buffer girl who loves to film fire trucks with my friends this is a great app it tells which fire trucks are out and getting a lot of responding calls it’s the best app in the world I totally recommend 👍🏻👍🏻😃

Unethical

Imagine you see somebody collapse on the street. They don’t have a pulse. Seconds count before they start getting brain damage. You pull out your phone, open the Pulse Point app and send out an alert. The person is turning blue. It’s ok, still waiting for a response. Suddenly somebody responds! 20 minutes ETA. You have saved them! The person arrives. Still no pulse. Turns out they had already died. Turns out 10 people who had walked by said they knew CPR but you had told them no need help was on the way.

This app is awful. Please just call 911 or learn CPR yourself.

Reliable and easy to use

The app is easy to use. Dial up the district and see who’s responding.

Helpful

pulse point is helpful when there’s like accidents or incense or that

Unit response

I wish that all Departments in Babylon Township showed what units responded to incidents.

Ma

I love this to be prepared to drive not to go anywhere where the accident are

Was great, now doesn’t work

Being in a wheelchair on an upper floor, I used the app to determine why FD was here to decide if I needed to leave and how. But for quite some time it stopped working at all. When the update came out I tried it again, only to find information delayed for hours if it is presented at all. The app is no longer useful where I live, and even my neighbors who’ve sworn by it have given up on it. So uninstalling again, and doubt very much I’ll give it a third try.
