User reviews

Perfect

Perfect tool I love it.

Paywall

I just updated this app, and it now doesn’t give me a single measurement. Immediately goes to a paywall. So greedy for a simple measurement. PD+ and Eyemeasure are still free!

Scam

Costs 2.99 then No instructions about where to look or hold your face and then gives numerous and different readings, none of which match optometrist measurement

Accuracy doubtful

The app measurements are -2mm offset from the Optometrist’s measurements. Not confident with the accuracy compared to physical measurement.

FAQ

What is Pupillary Distance (PD) and why is it important?

Pupillary Distance (PD) is the distance between the centers of your pupils. This measurement is crucial for accurately fitting prescription eyeglasses and ensuring proper alignment with VR headsets. An incorrect PD can lead to discomfort or ineffective vision correction.

How does this app measure Pupillary Distance?

The app utilizes your iPhone's TrueDepth Camera system to perform augmented reality measurements. By simply looking at the camera, your face is scanned, and the PD is calculated in real time.

Does the app offer different types of PD measurements?

Yes, the app provides both near and far sight measurements. The far sight measurement is useful for myopia glasses, while the near sight measurement is suitable for reading glasses or hyperopia.

What are the compatibility requirements for this app?

This app requires an iPhone X or newer model that is equipped with a TrueDepth Camera to function correctly. Older iPhone models or devices without this specific camera technology will not be able to use the AR measurement features.

Can I save my PD measurements?

Yes, the app includes a measurement history feature. This allows you to keep a record of all the PD measurements you've taken, which can be a useful reference for yourself or for sharing with eye doctors.
