Not as promising as it looked

The app is very limited. I can’t change it into metric system, the calories count can’t be modified (some of the things he reads in a picture are wrong) i can’t save the recipes which shouldn’t be a big deal I’ve subscribed for a year and that’s a mistake on my behalf i hope you improve the app the concept is promising but the app is a joke

Response from developer

Hey Dina! Thank you for the honest feedback, and I'm sorry the experience has been frustrating so far. A couple of things that might help right away: you can switch to metric under Settings, and when you scan a meal there's an edit button that lets you correct any macros or calories the photo reads wrong. On the recipes, you're absolutely right, they should be savable, and we're fixing that within the week. We really want to make Quell great for everyone, so please reach out to us at nithil@quell-app.com if anything else comes up. We'd love the chance to turn this around for you.

Honestly game changing

Genuinely my first comment on an app - because it’s been truly helpful!

A lot better approach to loosing weight that nobody talks about.
Controlling satiation levels has been much less stressful that keeping a constant eye on calories!!

Response from developer

Wow this made our day!! So cool that this is your first ever app review, seriously thank you for that. And yes!! That's exactly what we're going for. Tracking satiety instead of obsessing over calories just hits different. So happy it's working for you. Keep crushing it and let us know if there's anything we can do to make the app even better for you 🙌

Proceed with caution

I logged out and now I can’t get back in without “rejoining” and paying again. Unclear how one gets the “30-day money back guarantee” they advertise.

Response from developer

We're sorry for the trouble here! You definitely shouldn't have to pay again just to log back into your existing account, that's not how it's supposed to work. Could you reach out to our support head at nithil@quell-app.com with the email you originally signed up with? We'll get your access restored and also make sure you're taken care of on the refund guarantee if that's what you're looking for. Thanks for flagging this, and sorry for the frustration.

Very bad app

The advertising on insta was they they show you what to eat. There is nothing in the app about food. I would like to get a refund and can’t even find contact information how to request the refund. Buyer be aware. This is only tracking app, will not help you with what or how to plan your meals!

Response from developer

We're really sorry about this, Gosha! You're right that meal planning and guidance is a core part of Quell, and it sounds like you ran into a bug that briefly collapsed the plan section. That's been fixed on our end now, so you should be able to see meal guidance again if you reopen the app. That said, we completely understand the frustration in the moment, especially with no easy way to reach us. Please email us at nithil@quell-app.com and we'll get this sorted right away. Thanks for your patience, and sorry again for the confusion.

LOST 14LBS!!!!

Quell completly changed how i eat. High satiety meals genuinely switch off my hunger so im full for hours and the cravings just stopped. Tracking satiety per calorie helped me eat less naturally without feeling deprived at all. The breakdown showing volume protein and fiber makes every meal choice so obvious. Honestly ive lost weight steadily without the misery of being hungry all the time. If you want a real way to loose fat without the willpower battles get this app. Cant recommend it enough!

Response from developer

14 lbs is incredible, congratulations vishy! This is exactly the kind of result we hoped satiety-focused eating could unlock: real, steady fat loss without the constant willpower battle. Love that the volume/protein/fiber breakdown has made meal choices feel obvious rather than stressful, and that the cravings have actually stopped rather than just being white-knuckled through. Thank you so much for sharing your progress and for recommending Quell to others. Keep up the amazing work!
