Connectivity Issues
Frequently unable to connect, even with controller 5ft away. Slow to respond.
Great idea, horrible execution
This app makes way too many calls to the controller and has a hard time connecting. I get about 40% connection and the rest of the times it has to retry or reboot the app.
Good but could be great
Love the app concept but lacks modern look, disconnects from current irrigation cycle and has limited functionality. In today's AI world they could do so much more.

Slow to open on iPhone 14 Pro max

All of a sudden this app is working great. Launch time vastly improved. I’d give it 5 stars if it hadn’t taken years to work right.

I close my apps when I’m done with them, keep current on iOS version,and restart the iPhone regularly. Still, this is the slowest app I have. Even tried 2.4 and 5gHz bands. I have gigabit wired service and obtain over 500 Mb speeds on Wi-Fi. Literally take a minute or more to connect to controller (and yes, I’ve tried restarting the controller). Doesn’t matter if I’m right next to controller for starting but distance to controller is key for control AFTER connected. Plenty of free ram and no problems with other apps. Anyone else have this issue?

App works BUT does not work with Alexa
The Rain Bird app works but can be a little sketchy when it comes to connecting via WiFi. Also the Rain Bird controller can NOT be controlled by Amazon Alexa which is sad since cheaper sprinkler controllers do have the feature. Rain Bird really needs to fix this issue
Poor connection
I am very disappointed that when I need to update my options I cannot connect. We have excellent WiFi , so the issue is with Rainbird.
It took some calibrating but…
I love the app now that I pay 3 bucks a month. It’s working pretty flawlessly. I dig it but please explain weather sync, it makes no sense at all to everyone I asked..also a chart you can draw on and map my sprinklers. I would gladly pay 25-40 a month for:)
App needs a small bit crucial update…
The app should have a pop up notification when you crate a program and it does not have a start time, it should let you know nothing will occur.
Horrible App
For this app and this irrigation system to be used by so many it is the worst app ever it hardly ever works and hardly ever connects. If I could give it zero stars I would it is time for developers to create a better product for consumers to use I am so disappointed.
Bobs irrigation
Constantly getting communication error messages. My controller is only hooked up to my smart phone no other device, but I keep getting that message.
Problem with calendar
Have been using for a few months and generally very good with one exception. There is a calendar view which shows what days sprinklers have come on and what days they will come on in future due to your programs. The problem is it doesn’t work properly, it shows when sprinklers have come on but for some reason extends over a further day. Contacted support and they confirmed it doesn’t work properly but they had no plans to fix the feature. This is a shame as I purchased the irrigation unit which is quite a high end model so I could have app. They didn’t advertise that features in the app don’t work. Maybe I would have purchased a different brand. Long and short would be good if they fixed this known problem

Rain Bird controller
The Wifi controller for the Rain Bird is a must have.
Im questioning the legitimacy of the 5 star reviews
This app is horrendous. The connection is so clumsy and not once have we ever actually gotten it to function correctly. You cant cancel the watering when in mid watering session. The app just hangs trying to connect to the system, the app is none functional in any real manner other then to tell you the program is on or off. We hired a professional contractor to install a full irrigation system in our property, the contractor even indicated he will never recommend this system to another customer, he also indicated every single unit he installed this year is doing the same thing. This entire system is a complete failure. If it actually connected and did what it was supposed to it would be glorious, but it doesn’t, and it creates more problems then it was supposed to solve.
Avoid this product and app at all costs. We are in process of removing it and going with a different brand.
On a side note, if you google or search this product online you find the majority of users have the same terrible experience. So the high amount of 5 star reviews on this app makes me really question how authentic this company actually is in true unbiased assessments.
Complete waste of money and time. Shop elsewhere.

Wi-Fi Challenged
Was difficult connecting to my Wi-Fi network but after numerous attempts I finally managed.

Do not purchase!! This unit works 10% of the time, the other time ms it cannot find my WiFi. Forget the fact I am next to the WiFi. There should be a lawsuit for selling this junk!! It is a not worth the money!! Fix it or stop selling it!!
Horrible connection issues
I’m constantly having issues with this app and my rainbird controller ESP-ME3. I have plenty of WiFi signal strength. The app is constantly having issues “requesting relay”. And “communication issues” no I don’t want one app I use to dictate that I’m on a slow 2.4ghz WiFi. Instead they need to fix their app. It doesn’t work more than it does.

Horrible connection
I have used this app for over a year. Often times it takes 15-20 times to connect to the network. I have tried different connections, and different WiFi connections. I just want it to work when I need it. It should not take 20 minutes for the app to randomly connect and decide to work just to run a station.
