HORRIBLE lag
I love that I save money through this app. What I hate is the extra hours and hours of my life I have spent staring at the screen waiting for it to respond and load. My time is worth more than a few bucks. My advice is save it for when you’re making a large purchase or they are running a promotion with a higher percentage. Otherwise, if you’re like me, my time is worth more than this. I have deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail. And if I go straight to a company’s website it works just fine. It is definitely the app causing the problem.

Easy way to get cash back or points
I love looking to see what cash back options there are for the day and I get some good ideas. Easy way to earn bilt points. I wish it would automatically link to the app for stores I have apps for.

What’s not to love.

Locked out of my account and lost earned cashback despite being a genuine user
I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I had a Rakuten account created through Sign in with Apple and had accumulated cashback rewards (including referral rewards from legitimate referrals and shopping cashback). I was suddenly unable to access my account, and after contacting support, my membership was terminated with a generic explanation about related accounts.
I did not create multiple accounts intentionally, use self-referrals, or abuse the program. I requested a manual review and clarification, but my concerns were not addressed. Losing access to earned rewards without a clear explanation has been very frustrating. I hope Rakuten improves its account review process and customer support.
