Scam!

I registered, subscribed to the monthly plan, and used this app to make international calls for some time. However, I later discovered that all of my international calls were billed by my mobile service provider instead of being covered by the app. As a result, I was charged CAD 183 in my monthly bill by my provider for those overseas calls. This is extremely disappointing, as I paid for the app expecting it to handle my international calls.

The app works sometimes but failed outright. The customer support has no idea what they are taking about and useless.

Enable Travel Mode before you travel!

App works but Travel Mode is OFF by default, causing $475 roaming when using HK SIM in UK. Support confirmed calls went via carrier. No warning when abroad. Got my carrier to waive but Rebtel refused any credit. Enable Travel Mode before you travel!

Poor call quality

Terrible call quality in my experience unfortunately. Severe delays on the line which made calls impossible and frustrating.

Unhelpful support

I could not make calls to any Austrian numbers at all, which I raised with support. I stated that I had tried multiple numbers/connection types, but they didn’t seem to believe me. I confirmed that these numbers are active using a different service, but they still ended up saying that the β€œproblem is specific to those destination numbers” and to verify with the recipient that their phone lines are active (which I did and stated multiple times). Only reason I gave 2 stars is because I was able to get through to other countries, but the support here is really lacking.
