I have very bad anxiety and ADHD. Ive hired a car twice already this year and one only being a few weeks before the 19th December 2023. I have all my ID on there system and I’ve shown the same ID when I last hired a car. Well this time I go to pick my car up after paying over £250 and I was told my ID wasn’t good enough and he was laughing at me when I started to panic as I had no more money on me and I had my twin girls with me. He told me I’d have the refund back in my bank within 5 days as his manage had confirmed it and now I have left the airport they are refusing to refund me my money. Saying they put it down to a no show. How can that be justified. I had to have my dad come and collect me and my kids and have been stuck in my house all over Christmas due to no having transportation. This has been the worse Christmas I have spent in Malaga and feel like I don’t want to come back. Having a male laughing at me because I’m panicking and in a state that I couldn’t do anything about. My girls had to sit me down and help me breathe. I felt like an alien no one offered to help me instead I had other people waiting to get their cars and they was looking and talking I felt so vulnerable. And I was over £250 down at Christmas. Malaga car hire is the best car rental in Malaga so they will be having my business from now on. Especially when I’m over regularly. Your staff need to be trained on how to handle hiden disabilities.
