Car owner gets a full pass to track my movement in realtime for two weeks, complete violation of safety and privacy. And even after reporting this it was completely dismissed by Amovens and allowed to proceed as I cannot provide evidence of the well hidden tracking devices in the car. The app failed to protect its customer’s safety and privacy and refused to do anything about it afterwards, meaning I have to take the matter to the relevant authorities.
Besides this the app allowed the owner to file claims against me with access to the vehicle post rental while I have no access to it to prove my case otherwise and any claim I filed was completely dismissed.
Reading through the reviews it seems this isn’t the first time this app prioritised the owner over the customer and completely runs us over.

Good application
Very good and responsible app
Avoid at all costs!
I used Amovens on a trip with no incidents, where I parked the car in a private garage when not using. I finished with the car, but it was dirty after a long drive. I later got an email saying I’d scratched car- I knew no such incident had happened.
I replied that if the driver could send a video of the scratch I’d be happy to pay, because I was convinced the apparent scratch was mud mark. I emailed the driver, without a response and assumed the driver must have been mistaken. A month later I receive a €400 bill to cover the damage.
There was no consideration of my position, and the only evidence was a blurry photo. Absolutely no trust in the users- avoid in case of having the same happen to you.

What an amazing service
Amovens is great. This is the first time I have used it and will never go back to using any of the traditional car rentals again. So easy to use, so easy to communicate with the owners. It’s an A++++++++++ service. I will be back next time I need to rent a car. Also worked out much cheaper and loads less hassle.
