What's New in Record3D

1.11

August 21, 2026

• Wi-Fi Streaming: added exactly synchronized per-frame 6DoF LiDAR pose and camera intrinsics metadata into the WebRTC stream. Demo at http://record3d.xyz/perfect-perframe-metadata (Note: the website demo works only with HTTP not with HTTPS!). • Added high-resolution RGB still photo (+ depth image + metadata) capture during video recording for LiDAR videos. Stills are stored in the exported .r3d files.

Is it possible to add an option to load/record spatial videos into the app?

Hell yeah

Been looking for something like this for awhile, stoked that this exists. Crashes on me a lot while exporting but not to the point where it’s unusable. Highly recommend for touchdesigner

Cool

Thank you it works and was cool seeing face scan recordings

I want my money back!

It’s meh for what it does, although when I tried displaying a video, it showed a strange grey square instead of the video, and lagged my entire phone to the point where I had to completely forcefully restart it.

Update 1/16/2026
I bought the $5 version and it doesn't work.

FAQ

What does Record3D do?

Record3D allows you to capture your own 3D videos using your device's selfie camera or LiDAR sensor. You can then export these videos in various 3D file formats, stream them to your computer, or view them in Augmented Reality with a True3D effect.

What are the key features of Record3D?

Key features include recording 3D videos with advanced sensors, exporting to popular 3D formats like FBX and glTF, creating Spatial Video and SBS stereo videos, viewing in AR, and streaming to computers via Wi-Fi or USB. It also offers RGBD mp4 export for holographic displays.

How much does Record3D cost?

The app offers 3 free 3D videos for evaluation. Additional functionality, such as Wi-Fi Streaming and RGBD Video export, can be unlocked through an Extension Pack purchase within the app.

What devices is Record3D compatible with?

The app utilizes the selfie *FaceID* camera or the *LiDAR* sensor for recording. Spatial Video export is available on iOS 17 or newer. Wi-Fi streaming works on your local network (LAN) and not over the internet.
