Really great, but wish workflow has worked better
This app is really great at making the complex CRM simple to use. The only issues are with workflows. Workflows do not have full functionality as they do on the website. Can be inconvenient at times.

I’m rating the Redtail mobile app 5 stars. It’s super easy to use, secure, and has made documenting client interactions and communications incredibly simple and convenient. The app is especially valuable when we’re traveling or attending conferences — having quick access to notes and contacts on the go makes a huge difference. I absolutely love having this tool as part of our workflow!

Calendar won’t always load
Have to uninstall and reinstall to get calendar to function.

Task Notes
It is difficult to compleat tasks with notes through the app. It’s a function I use often on a desktop. It makes our workflow inconsistent.
Who are the dinosaurs rating this app at 5 stars?
Let’s be positive and start with the good:
- It doesn’t crash constantly and updates seem to push seamlessly.
- Integrates well with other financial platforms.
The bad:
- Just about everything else when comparing it to a modern app. And when I say “modern”, I mean let’s go back to Blackberry days.
- Zero push notifications. That alone should disqualify this from being considered in your organization.
RT is included in a package we pay for with Orion. From a compliance standpoint it makes great sense and was a seemingly easy decision. Our organization moved away from RT a few years back and only switched back because of the package deal. As of right now we wish we would have stayed the course with Wealthbox. We were promised when signing up that improvements would be made to RT and features would be added to work better with the financial industry. I didn’t realize that meant they were starting from ground zero...
Yes it’s better than a carrier pigeon, no I would not recommend this app.

Workflows need to work better.
Pretty good functioning out there to most. But work clothes in the app are not full functioning like they are on the website.

It takes too long to view the calendar…. Takes 5 seconds for a single day to load. Trying to find an open time can take over a minute. Takes another 45 seconds to book an appointment m. It’s been years, no improvement to speed.

Could be better but still not bad
I love Redtail in general. For the most part, you cannot live in the app, you have to use the desktop application. And it’s a pretty complicated system for an app. But when you’re on the run, at least it does suffice. Can probably use a few improvements, but overall, I like it.

The CRM itself is already the most basic, barely worth the cost nonsense.
But the app? The app is actually worthless. It never works. Constantly can’t fetch anything and won’t connect to the server.

Slow!
This app is so slow at loading that it’s actually faster for me to log on to my computer, log in to our AUM system and then open Redtail through SSO. That’s ridiculous.
