Very easy, super fast and I love because have many lotions for me to choose.
Payment system issues
Went to purchase tickets for a train from Madrid to Barcelona. Put in information for four passengers went through a third party verification process only for the payment system to not work. For Apple Pay or credit card. Also happened on their website. Waste of time.

Bad user experience
I tried booking a ticked to Toledo. Did not complete the purchase because of this horrible app and decided not to go. The app forces you to create an account and enter your information before telling you there no available slots. It’s easy to clear all your data without the app saving the data for you to come back to. The user flows between screens are not polished. For Madrid’s biggest rail company to have such a bad application is quite surprising. I deleted the app and did not book a ticket. Plus, the entire app is not translated properly so you get have eng half es.

No sé si hay apps peores que esta. Es lenta, el user journey no tiene sentido! Pregunta el destino ANTES de lugar de salida. Muy muy mala y muy mal hecha. Está hecha por estudiantes de primaria? Yo creo que lo harian mejor. No le da vergüenza a Renfe tener esta app?
Looks nice. Functions poorly.
Have experienced payment errors (doesn’t work with overseas banks, use PayPal), fields not accepting content, disappearing buttons, slowness and crashing. So downloaded a 3rd party app that works.
Buggy, outdated and frustrating
Nothing works on this app. It feels like it was coded by a corrupt IT company which paid bribes to the Renfe to get the contract. Even Claude can vibecode a better app.
Has Renfe tried using this app?
Probably the worst booking app I have ever used. Gave up on the web site, which wouldn’t even take my travel dates. And downloaded this. Allows you to put your trip details in, then asks you to register, and then you find out it’s not retained the booking details! The registration was very poor, the buttons are all very buggy, and trying to get a password it would accept was really frustrating. It took over an hour to book one trip!

Couldn't register due to lack of feedback
The app doesn't accept the passwords I insert during registration -- says it's invalid format -- but it doesn't say what is the format I should use.
Terrible payment system
The app is absolutely ridiculous. Each time I tried to pay, I received an error processing message. I tried using different cards to no avail. Really frustrating.

Use the web to create an account
Useless app unless you have an account. No english support unless logged in, doesn't fetch personal info from the phone, no OK button when registering! Demands that you have two surnames! Payment system is bad. Otherwise the app after login is ok.

What kind of accounting is this?
I purchased a ticket then I had to change itinerary. Going through the motions of the app, the difference between the new ticket and old ticket was €17,75. When I went to pay, it was charging me again for the old ticket instead of deducting it and then adding the cost of the new ticket for a grand total of €58,20
