Stay away if you can. Wait times not accurate
My experience was not fun especially since it was my first time using the app.
Even when you plan ahead revel will make you tardy and when you cancel they will not refund the cancellation fee as per their “terms” . My wait time was a certain time but when I booked it the wait went down but the driver didn’t move. Because as per revel terms “ cancellation with anything more than 2 minutes will be subject to a cancellation fee” lol wow and the kicker here is, that the driver started to move on the app, but then the wait time increased 10 MINUTES! Lol of you read this and made of this far. Don’t waste your time and don’t connect your banking. I requested to delete my app and information.

I attempted to use revel. Every time it just puts a pending charge on my card, then cancels my ride and says drivers aren’t available.

Encourage Bad Drivers
First off every driver is going to be a minimum of 15 minutes away, but even after they reach you they can come just to start the ride then immediately cancel and still collect the full fare. This means I’m saying they will charge you without you ever taking. ride. Revels customer support will do nothing and your only option is to dispute it with your bank. If you want to take that risk, try it out!

Horrible buggy app
GREAT service. Much cheaper than the other two most of the time. All electric fleet, superior comfort and ride compared to old timey gas vehicles. The problem is the buggy app. In NYC I have to let drivers know the business where I am because the location on the map is almost always wrong. Sometimes it’s just across the street but other times, it’s blocks away. That’s a huge strike. The other issue is messages not refreshing/app locking up, or it works differently from time to time. iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB, latest OS, so it’s for sure not the device. If they can get someone who can squash the many bugs, then it will be a 100% solid service. Until then, keep a VERY close eye on what the app does.

The waiting time is ridiculous
Im always using their app because of the reliable prices but its very frustrating how the waiting time jumps from 7 mins to 15 minutes and that’s not even guaranteed because the drives love to take wrong turns and stuff it’s really becoming annoying and they really need to start hiring more drivers this is insane

Great concept - terrible driver
The app worked great and pricing was competitive. That said, after a crazy drive to the airport, all three passengers were ready to hurl.
Two of the passengers own Teslas and it’s pretty common knowledge that if you accelerate like crazy and have a high rate of deceleration (since you took your foot off the gas and the car decelerated through regenerative braking), everyone is going to feel like they are on a roller coaster. Do that like twenty times on the highway and forget about repeat customers.

Scheduled ride
Great app but on scheduled pickup set hours ahead of time, pick up is outside the pick up window. Also the app will cancel the ride at the last minute and I will be stuck paying higher prices.
Complete Scam
Revel pre-authorised amount which was almost more than 3 times of the actual ride fair and never refunded. They have a horrible slow customer service as well. And on top of that waiting times are very slow compared to competitors.
No longer the best alternative to Lyft
Cant deliver rides, cars take forever to reach you, connects you with drivers that are clearly 20+ mins away. Use to be good, can no longer recommend

The drivers are less available and less interested to make trips. Got multiple cancellations and finally a cancelation charge for going with other ride shares.

I could have missed my flight trying to get another ride set up because Revel had no other cars available and I was forced to pay high prices due to a last minute ride request with another company.

Bait and Switch ride app
if what you’re looking for is an app that try to give you discounts that are kept to take rides that are always delayed and then when the driver arrives - cancels within one or two minutes and then even when they are meant to arrive, they just cancel on you and it doesn’t even show on your trips so you can’t even ask for a reason - all you get is a notification of the trip was cancelled and it’s your problem - it’s an app that is never gonna work it will fail such terrible customer service. Uber is 100x better for a few dollars more.

Better Option
Hate the bright blue cars but love the environmentally friendly option. Can’t wait for them to expand so scheduled rides don’t get cancelled.
Horrible estimates
11 mins late than estimate to pick up (almost double the estimate). 17 minutes late to drop off on estimate after route started.
Unreliable
Relatively well priced but long wait times that often get extended. Hard to rely on if you need to be somewhere at a given time.
Misleading
Learned about app through the Transit app in NYC. It shows you public transit routes and an option to use Revel and a price estimate. I am headed to the airport and it estimates $69. So I click on it but now it says $97. I give them that feedback and say that's not transparent pricing. They answer back it's real time dynamic pricing. I said your estimate in the transit app was real time telling me something totally different which is misleading. Please fix the estimates from the Transit app so it can be accurate.
