Never works
It rarely ever loads and sometimes it goes to the log in screen, but is frozen and you can’t log in. I close it and I’m logged in again but still won’t load anything.
The Windows 3.0 version of a legal app
If you enjoy reinstalling an app over and over just to get it to work this is what you want. Trust all the reviews it is pathetic and useless. Rocketmatter was sold and will likely be discontinued or replaced due to the obvious neglect of their products.
Terrible, non-functional app
I am forced to keep downloading it because it freezes and keeps spinning. This forces me to call my staff to check my calendar and annoys me when they delay in responding. I never know if the app will load or have issues. It then kicks me out quickly, forcing me to log in multiple times with the 15 minutes I want to use it. How RM cannot make a user friendly app in 2024 is beyond me. The only bright spot is, thanks to Covid, I am in court less often and therefore need to access it less often. Terrible, non-functional app that should be embarrassing to the company. Rocket matter only lucks out because migrating data and learning a new program tends to trump the ire this app draws. Otherwise, I would take my business elsewhere in a heartbeat. And I may still.

Hard pass if you need to work from your phone. Great desktop app, 0 out of 10 iOS app.
Why hasn’t this been fixed?!
Seriously. The same complaints for years. I was hopeful when I started using this system, based on the representations of the owner in his videos, that this app would work great and be a perfect companion to the desktop. It. Is. Not. I can’t even get logged in anymore. It has me considering other CMS systems as it is ludicrous that the app doesn’t work!

Barely works
If you need to rely on your iOS device to input any time or pool data regularly, this platform is not for you. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall the app multiple times just to get past the login screen. The web Platform is easy enough and reliable, but none of the iOS apps – either on the iPhone or iPod-work consistently.

Love Desktop Version
I was really hoping the glitches my coworkers talked about had been fixed. I was really pushing for everyone in the office to use the app. But they were right, and the app is very glitchy. It gets stuck in a loading mode so you have to remove the app from your phone, download it again, and login again for it to stop trying to load. Please do better Rocket Matter. We need you!

Poor functionality
Sadly, I have to agree with the other reviewers of this app. The desktop version of Rocket Matter is great, but the iOS app is not and is barely functional. It is glitchy and needs to be redownloaded periodically. I have it on my phone but almost never use it, which is a shame because I’d really like to. I’m giving it two stars because it isn’t *completely* nonfunctional (you can look up client contact info).

tl;dr- If you are someone who needs legal practice management software, Rocket Matter on the web is great. But if you need mobile functionality on your iOS device you will probably be very disappointed. :-(

App needs to be fixed
Could we get this app fixed please? It’s not easy to use and doesn’t work half the time.
Need to be rebuilt
Continually locks up, needs to be deleted and reinstalled to work again. Glitchy. Can’t see messages in app or phone numbers. Should be less than 1 star. Please rebuild it!
The app has always been terrible.
The new version makes it unusable. You have to manually put in your username then hit login then maybe your passwords will come up and then it won’t login anyway. Desktop is very good, but when my contract is up, I am switching to a competitor that can actually make an app that is usable.
Worst app I have
Rocketmatter is *fine* for what it does on my computer. But it’s essentially non-functional on your phone. The website is terrible and not really compatible with mobile use. The app is clunky and doesn’t seem to even have many of the main functions (like requesting payment). It’s easier to just use my Notes app on my iPhone to keep track of my time if I’m not sitting at my desk. The only reason I haven’t switched to a different service yet is that they hold your data hostage. It would be a huge and clunky export process. But I intend to switch and the lack of ability to use it on the go is a major reason.

Disappointed in App
I generally write glowing reviews about Rocket Matter regarding the full version as used on a desk or laptop computer. And I feel their support staff are some of the best in the industry.
Rocket Matter support staff are always available by chat or phone (usually less than a 1 minute wait) and very knowledgeable and helpful, which I feel is the hallmark of a great company.
Sadly though, I have finally given up on the app, deleting it from my phone to end the frustrations I experienced attempting to use it.
Although it does not offer everything available using the online version, the reason I gave up was reliability and login issues. Maybe it’s works better on other phones (I have an iPhone se) so I don’t want to discourage anyone reading this from trying it out, but do so with eyes wide open. For me, it simply came down to a lack of dependability.
I do hope that one day Rocket Matter can fix it properly and when they do I’ll be waiting to download it again.

Borders on useless
This app would have been incredible, had it been released in 1998, but it wasn’t. It freezes constantly. It is slow, opens to useles screens and is, overall about as useful as a broken watch - good twice a day at most.

Bad app
Unstable and poor functionality.
Way too cumbersome
No face recognition, no ability to store login. I have to type out my full user name and password into the app every time I use it and it makes everything take twice as long as it should. Once logged in the app it is still very tedious. There really is no salvaging this app. Rocketmatter needs to trash it, fire the programmer, and start over, like yesterday. The prior app, even with limited functionality, was way better and was one of my primary reasons I utilize their service for my firm. This isn’t going to work for me and could cause me to look elsewhere for case management after 13 years. This needs to be resolved sooner than later.

App is awful
The app is about as bad as it gets; thankfully the desktop version is well built.
Horrible App
RM is great on my computer and I will continue to recommend it to friends, but I always do so with the caveat that the app is horrible. I have used RM for a decade and frequently called the company to complain about its app. Every time I update my phone, I have to delete the app and reload it. It will not use face recognition anymore. It won’t let my phone remember my password. The app is also terrible to navigate on the phone. It claims to sync to Google calendar, but it doesn’t, so I am forced to use the incredibly clunky calendar that won’t even let me see the whole calendar event. My staff knows how to get around that, but I truly wish that for the money I pay and have paid, they could work out the kinks in the app. Maybe the next update will be better.

Can’t add new time entry in iOS 15
The most important use for an iPhone app is to add time entries when you are not at your desk. Not possible with this app, at least in iOS 15.1, as the “add time” button does not appear.
