I totally see its potential
Unfortunately, the experience feels a bit clunky in everyday use. Editing tasks and working with notes isn’t as smooth as I’d expect, and I found recurring tasks confusing. I accidentally created a daily recurring task that I couldn’t seem to delete—it just kept moving to the next day, which made me lose confidence in the app.
The app has a lot of potential, and with improvements to task editing, recurring task management, and overall usability, it could become a great productivity tool. Right now, though, it feels like the core experience needs a bit more polish.

Thank you for the great review! Bringing calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts together in one powerful place is exactly our vision. We're thrilled it's working for you and appreciate your support as we keep refining the experience! 💙
Useless if you don’t use google
Finally can integrate all Google Tasks and Goole Calendar from multiple accounts!
Tried many productivity tools and apps and ends up being not simple and often are bloated or visually overwhelming.
Routine is visually SIMPLE with clean LAYOUT. It helps a lot with less switching between apps, then lessens distractions and context switching, which overwhelms my ADHD brain. So happy I found this tool!!
At the moment the free version is doing what I need with Zapier integration.
One downside is tasks updated or completed in Routine doesn’t reflect in Google Task (and other way around), so have to manually delete once completed. Not a big deal for now.
Any chance of developing the integration to be automatic instead of the user having to set it up?
Thank you so much for designing and developing Routine!

I was wrong
Let’s just start by saying I NEVER write reviews. In fact, this is only my second one!
I’ve been on a search for THE task/note/calendar tool for what feels like years, and I think I finally found it.
It has a great looking interface that has all the features I need (notes, calendar, tasks), and the best part, it doesn’t feel all bloated and confusing to navigate.
All the big ones like Todoist, TickTick, etc are great tools, but they’re all almost overwhelming for the way my brain works and I give up on them after a month. Then I’ll download again thinking I figured out a better system to use the app, and give up again.
Then there are things like Structured, Brite (super bloated), and visual day planners, but I just simply don’t like the apps for various, albeit minor, reasons.
Routine finally brings together everything I need and want in a life/work organization app, and it’s super sleek with great widgets too.
Fantastic job already, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come!

Few Things

Gman5524, Hi there, thanks for your feedback! We do appreciate the honesty and we're happy to report that we've spent a substantial amount of time working on the foundations of Routine mobile apps. We're very close to launching the offline mode, which will increase the stability a multiple times over! We'll be happy to have you back onboard, should you decide to give Routine a try. Have a blessed day!
Solid work, just a few things …
- side note of concern: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep it free, if you do add a paid version, just make it so you get extra stuff, and not that the free version is limiting. Ex: don’t restrict number of pages/tasks. Just make the paid version so you can change the colors and theme of the app and icon. Just keep it to being additional customization rather than unlocking restrictions.

Hi Anton, thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! We're delighted when such honest comments come our way. Thank you! We heard what you're saying and I can confirm that there are several fixes that will come into the mobile apps to make your experience multiple times better. Firstly, we're launching offline mode soon, and this will improve the core stability of all the apps. Secondly, we've launched a new editor on the desktop app that we will transition over to the mobile environment as well. Moreover, we're going to introduce more options for colors as well as recurrences. Lastly, we will always keep Routine free to use for the majority of the features! We'll be happy to assist with any questions or concerns you might have. Enjoy your weekend!
