Great app but one complaint

This is a really helpful app but the fact that even on the paid subscription sometimes it opens the review page in the App Store without even asking if I want to leave a review, just automatically redirecting me there, is absolutely obnoxious. I'm looking for another app and if I can find one that provides the same value as this one I'll switch immediately because I truly can't stand that it does that.

It’s nice

I got to get everything done and everything I needed to be done love this app straight out of 10 I recommend it

Best Routine/Habit App

This is THE ONE!!
I purchased it for life.
I have read the bible, counted my blessings in a journal, prayed and read my daily text every single day for nearly 1,000 days.
I as well have used my cpap machine, gone to sleep by 11 pm, Pimsleur language lessons, Duolingo, cleaned my home, stayed in my diet and more for over 200 days.
The organization and abilities of this app are top tier. Simple layout, adjusts to personal needs and realistic changes in life. Motivating cute task icons and growing tree streak mascot. White noises and more for focus with timers and reminders as to why you want to do it.

Completely worth it. Amazing app for ADHD brains

This app is one of the most useful tools I've ever used to combat procrastination and other ADHD related difficulties. I love how flexible it is to be able to adapt to what I specifically need. I especially love that I can skip a part of my routine and it still marks the entire routine as completed (you can see in the details what you skipped). This is a big deal for me because it removes the feeling of missing something and the guilt that could entail. People often say "just start" but it feels like every part of a bigger task needs that decision to start. With this app, I just need to decide to start the routine, the rest is decided. It's gotten me to be more consistent with my workouts (I just added 15 minutes of yoga to the end of my morning routine) and with my studies. But I use it for anything I do regularly that involves more than two sequential actions. The big thing is, YOU need to decide start. The app can remind you, but only you have the power to take that action. But once you've done that, the app (and your past self who created the routine) removes the decision fatigue from the rest of that routine. I seriously and wholeheartedly recommend this app!

They ruined it.

This app is garbage now. They changed the alarm so that it now only plays sound instead of making your phone vibrate. They also changed the alarm notification to look like an actual alarm, meaning you can just shut it off. The appeal of Routinery for me was that the alarm would push constant notifs to my phone and make it buzz with no way to turn it off except to start the routine. That always forced me to remember what I need to do. Without that, I know I'll just end up dismissing or missing entirely the notifs the app sends. It's useless now. Im canceling my subscription after being a loyal customer for years. Devs, please restore the old functionality and give us an option of vibrate-only alarms and push notifications that don't stop until you begin the routine!

It’s great. Pay them for their hard work if you find it useful.

NOTE: being mad an app isn’t free is like being mad restaurants aren’t free or your plumber isn’t free. I guarantee you that hundreds, if not thousands of hours went into making this app, and it’s updated constantly… which means they’re working on it all the time. If you value someone’s work, you should pay them for it. Having a concentration app shoving ads in your face constantly worlds kind of defeat the purpose, no? Regarding the app: I needed a relatively simple app to break my day into blocks of repeatable tasks (e.g. morning routine) and blocks of time where I could use my existing task management tools to get things done. This app is great for that. Not as rigid as Tiimo time-wise but it’s heavier on reminders. Tiimo ended up being a place where I could see whatever it was that I’d been falling to work on for the past hour… this does a better job of keeping me on track. Support (might be a one person project?) is responsive and useful. Syncing for the watch is excellent while in a routine (another thing Tiimo was terrible at) -Wishes- Base Functionality: * Halfway reminders, or reminders every 𝑛 minutes would be super useful. While I’m working, I use an interval timer app that gives me a simple notification every six minutes. Having this integrated would be helpful. * would love a mode where I had a pile of tasks and a set block of time and I could choose which ones to do next. Sometimes it doesn’t matter if I shave before a brush my teeth but just need to be reminded to do both and stay on task. UI improvements: * Having text search of emoji would help. Doesn’t have to be any more complicated than a filter based on characters included in the name. Figuring out whether the icon I want is in default or whatever can be tedious. “Wait… was there a work category? No? Maybe electronics? No… hmmm” * Having sub-headings or details under title for tasks would be helpful. * Still not really sure what contexts are. My first guess is that they’d be like GTD contexts like “on the phone,” or “at work,” but that doesn’t really make sense for a scheduled task. Maybe that’s not the right word for the functionality? If so, some other wording could use cleanup— “you can restart at any time” implies that you’re starting from the beginning. Unless I’m not seeing the ability to restart, it should read “you can continue any time.” In think there are a few other minor ones but clearly not important enough to matter. * Would love to see a breakdown of how much time I allocated to each task in reality so I can adjust my schedule or habits. That is more important info to me than whether or not I completed the entire block exactly as prescribed. Thanks for making the app.

Woo

Yayyyy

Very helpful & has helped me get out of bed lol

Love it !!

I really like this app

I like how you don’t have to really think about adding certain things to your routine. All you have to do is add them with the plus sign. I’m really glad that you guys have a free version. This app actually made me feel better tonight after doing a night routine.

Best Routine App ever created.

Exactly what I needed. My daily routines laid out, with a timer, and a constant notification reminder of what I should currently be focusing on. Really helps with my ADHD.

I used to love this app but it’s SOO laggy now

I used to absolutely love this app but my god is it laggy and buggy and slow and makes me not want to use it 😭

Amazing

I love this app. I haven’t found something quite as good as this one for morning and evening routines🙌

Some requests and thank you

Hi, first of all, thank you so much for creating such a great app! I’ve been using it for several months now, and it has genuinely made my life better.

I have a couple of feature requests:

1. Please add a “Minimum Mode” (a low-energy version) within the same routine, so users can choose it on days when they have low energy but still want to complete part of their routine.

I’ve tried using the “Duplicate” feature, but it doesn’t work well for this purpose because the duplicated routine isn’t linked to the original one. Whenever I update my main routine, I also have to manually update the minimum version.

2. Please add a habit-tracking feature so users can track how consistently they complete each task within a routine.

I would really appreciate it if you would consider these suggestions. Thank you for your time, and thanks again for creating such a wonderful app!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your thoughtful suggestions and kind words. We’re really glad Routinery has helped improve your life over the past few months. Both ideas really resonate with us: a “Minimum Mode” within the same routine for low-energy days, synced with the original routine, and habit tracking for each task inside a routine so you can visually see your consistency over time. We agree that both could make Routinery even more supportive and motivating. We’ll share both suggestions with our product team and keep refining Routinery so it can support your routines more comfortably. If you ever experience any inconvenience while using the app, please contact us through Profile tab > FAQ > Email inquiry. 🙏

Keeps me on track!

I’ve been using Routinery for a few years. It gets better every year with the updates they make. This app walks me through my morning routine in such a way that I get to work on time. If I miss a task or take too long, the app just record it there’s no shame and if I do very well, I get the ranking of some sort that I don’t need to pay attention. I’m just getting more done and that’s what matter. Thank you, Routinery routine. I love this app.

Large holes in “System “

It is almost impossible to find any help with questions that they have. There does not appear to be any way to schedule activities that occur once a week, such as every Monday at 4 p.m.

No help Section, no way to contact “Customer Service”, quite disappointing.

Helpful

I love Routinery, it helps me so much with making my mornings easier!

Aggressively Assumes Non-Compliance & Lacks Functionality

This is a step by step timer outlining what to focus on, constraining you to very strict timings and the one page that is supposed to give guidance doesn't work

I'm tired of these apps not having proper tutorials and entire broken pages

I look down at my phone after completing my tasks and I see notifications saying, "This is your last chance to do the routine". If I open up the app and I'm trying a routine out for the first time, I see these aggressive signaling telling me to get back on track. I'm not looking at my phone because I'm focused and it just demands my attention which is distracting in itself

I'm being threatened and infantilized in response to assumed negligence. There is no guidance, only guilt.
