Could use some improvements
Unfortunately already paid for a year’s subscription but most macros are not accurate even when you upload a photo of the nutrition facts on the package. It seems to just spit out some random numbers. I like the idea but it needs some healthy improvements before it’ll be worthwhile. I’ve been having better luck just tracking on my own.

So easy
Makes creating and following a proper diet incredibly easy. The app takes up less than five minutes of my day and saves way more than that by allowing me to plan ahead.I have lost over 40 pounds with most of that being pure fat. Can not recommend enough.
USA only database
The food database only has what appears to be US foods. I spotted a few UK supermarket items when searching but these are custom entries by UK users. People familiar with other tracking apps will need to add all their regular foods or find closest in macros from the selection provide, cross referencing with other apps.

Nothing Unique Or Special Here
This is basically a meal and macro tracking app, no different than any other tracking app. I was thinking that there was meal planning included, but there is not. No different from My Fitness Pal and basically just as expensive. I just wasted $20! If a tracking app is what you are looking for, there are cheaper and easier to use options out there.

Too difficult to navigate
I’ve had success using the fundamentals of RP but the app has gotten so complicated it’s not worth the headache any longer. Checking in meals, redistributing macros for the day (and saving that setting for the length of the diet), realistic redistribution (ie don’t tell me to eat 300g of red meat to reach a goal- tell me to add another meal!)…. But over all what was doable is just too time consuming to find the simplest of things.

Only for pros. Not for the everyday man and woman
So I really wanted to love this app because their hypertrophy app is GOATed. Unfortunately it’s not the most user friendly app and that matters for me because it’s what motivates me to track even through imperfect days, vacations, family and friends coming over when we order food etc. this review is meant to give my opinion and may change if the app gets better. All love.
For one, the roster of labels it can scan is not as good as other apps. I have had a not small number of products that I could not scan. And it’s not easy to just find normal food items that estimate a general macro breakdown based on weight that’s not tied to a brand. That already knocks off a star.
Second, even though the app has gotten significantly more forgiving than when I used it a few years ago, it’s still hard to be flexible. For one it locks you into a measuring unit that you have to change in a separate setting tab (so you either choose Oz, grams etc. unless there’s a way I don’t know). Why can’t we switch it per item added? Why am I forced to measure milk in grams and rice in oz? Why can’t I just select units that match the label or help me estimate per item?
Third, it’s incredibly hard to add in food items add hoc. Sometimes I’m out, I just want to add a snack or food item I had outside, I can’t just do a quick macro log, instead I have to either set up a whole new food item per gram, or add in a new meal and just check it in. It’s not smooth at all.
Fourth, why doesn’t it show macros and calories remaining? Most other apps show you not JUST what you consumed but what you have left. It’s a small thing but it helps (I’m not the best mental math guy so im
Always pulling out my calculator).
What ends up happening is I’m not motivated to log as much as I could. Yes it does a great job if you have every single meal planned to the gram, it does a good job estimating how many macros YOU need for the best results, but it’s been hard to use for me. Maybe I’m not disciplined but it just makes me want to switch. I’ve lost 25lbs by using a different app but wanted to give this a go again.
If you’re not a pro or have your entire life planned out, you have life that requires flexibility, meeting friends, days that vary, you’re working late and need to order take out etc etc it’s not the most user friendly.

Sucks Big Time
This app does not add up the daily totals. After you spend all day imputing the meals you’re eating, it simply just reminds you what your target total for the day was. If you want to figure out your daily totals you have to write them down and add them in paper. What’s the point?
Not enough options!
I fast for 36hrs on Sat-Monday and the app won’t allow the option to encode such. Also when it comes to fitness I train primarily M-F with Saturday being light cardio and Sunday no more than a nimble around town at most. The problem of these apps is they never allow full customisation. I downloaded this app cos I enjoy Mikes content but within 10mins and paying for the monthly sub I realised this app isn’t workable for my needs.

Shampoo-drinkingly awful UI
This app has gotten me shredded but the new AI features make this app unusable. The old interface was better, the new interface is impossible, I don’t even enter my macros every day because the AI automativally adjusts the macros of my other meals if I only enter in one meal. Also, it’s impossible to schedule a workout without it doing weird stuff like giving me crazy macros or moving my workout where it doesn’t belong, like before any meals or after any meals instead of where I want it, which is after my first and second meals. There doesn’t seem to be a way to fix this even when I manually type in exactly what time I want my meals and my workout to be, without it freaking out. The only solution seems to be scheduling my week perfectly, because going off script in anyway just bricks the app. This app used to be awesome.

Good for some
I would’ve liked to have a preview before I paid for the subscription. As much as I like the strength app, the interface for this is busy and unusable and I’d like a refund.
Free trial
For something that doesn’t have a free trial, I would expect it to have majority of the calorie scans and also also let you put the correct grams of a food product to the T. For a 100 dollars I think I should of just just went with fitness pal. This app should be honestly attached to the fitness one for these prices. 3 days in using this thing and I honestly would want to get a refund and try out a different app.

Not working
Now since updating, when you plan your next week and add workouts, it adds calories to your day. Which is normal. But then when you try to save it says that you’re trending over your goal. Customer support is almost nonexistent for this app. Absolutely no help online.
Wonky
It’s fair share of bugs and customer support is nowhere to be found when you need it
App used to be good
I’ve had the app since it first came out and was using the diet templates before that. While I love updated features like being able to scan a label and having it import immediately for new or custom foods, the rest of the app just seems really difficult to navigate and difficult to use. My diet meal timing constantly makes no sense when I configure it and it doesn’t seem to reconfigure when I add workouts or change my sleep times. I prefer the old version of this app.

Updates are losing their touch
Long time user of the app since 2020 and have even beta tested a few things. I enjoy the new things of course however the constant updates to the user interface has been making the app less and less intuitive to use, and thusly less enjoyable. A lot of great features are hidden behind extra buttons which have made it a hassle to even check in with them. For instance I enjoyed having the food separated by their primary macros and RP recommended, now everything is search based and feels like just any other calorie counting app. I also enjoyed the ´save macro’ feature and the newest update has either completely removed that option or hidden it, it saved a lot of time in many ways.
I enjoyed this app because it made things that you would have had to do by hand streamlined and effective but more and more I have to just do it by hand then update the app so its defeating the whole purpose.
Overall it works great for the basic things but the updates are getting a little out of hand.

Latest update is terrible
They changed the UI with no warning, made the app worse, and didn’t put any information how to use the new UI online. Rollout was terrible. They pretty much told me if I didn’t like it, too bad. When my subscription is up, I’ll be looking elsewhere.
Was a great app but now it’s not
I love pretty much everything about the app - the diet itself works great and the app’s features really help with compliance and adherence. There are a few things they could improve (like letting you enter your weight in decimals instead of whole numbers during weigh ins) but they constantly improving the app and the support is first rate.
Update: the new update stinks. I don’t know who they have doing their ux design but it’s terrible. The food list update is terrible, the meal check in requires you to open the meal and go to a pulldown (why??), and it doesn’t appear to remind you when your next meal is. They took a good product and made it kind of suck which is a shame

Good but
App is good but the accuracy of the calories matching what the package says do not match
Horrible UI hard to use
I got this as I am starting my cut. Used to use MyFitnessPal but figured I’d try something new. Bought this and immediately regretted it. The UI is terrible and there aren’t any added features compared to other CHEAPER apps. Worst part they don’t even give you a free mode or trial to give it a try before buying. Gotta pay up front and if you like it great but if you don’t they just take your money. Do not recommend! If you just want to track calories MyFitnessPal is 100% better

The update sucks
Before the updated version, I had successfully cuffed twice and the app was very straightforward and easy to follow. After the update, copying meals don’t adjust the portions onto the meal I am copying to adjust the macros. I didn’t realize this until I went back and saw I had gone over my macros. Adding custom foods when logging meals throws errors.
