Motivational app

Awesome app and fantastic idea - gets you motivated to get out the door and walk or run to meet your goals.

A fun motivational overlay

Love this app not only for capturing all of my walk and run activities over the last 6 years, but for the large number of challenges which have helped keep my running fun

Motivation

Great app. Nothing motivates you like a challenge and what’s better than running around your own country!

Terrible payment and customer service

App allows me to subscribe in multiple formats (annually and monthly) which is either poor design or intentional . Tried to cancel and advised told nothing to do with application, arrange yourself. Poor information on application and unhelpful customer service email. Recommend other apps; lost me as a customer.

Motivational, Awesome Stats & User Friendly

The new app is awesome, easy to use and full of up to date data. The map’s & locations are fascinating to see, especially with the corresponding notifications when you pass thru cities, towns & countries. I’d give it 10 Stars plus… 👏👏👏👏👏

FAQ

What does the Run the World app do?

This app allows you to track your running and walking distances on virtual maps of countries and continents. It focuses solely on distance covered, not pace or elevation, to help you progress on a virtual journey. You can automate distance uploads from Strava or add manual entries.

How does the virtual journey work?

You choose from one of 8 maps and then record your structured runs and walks. The distance you upload will move you along your chosen virtual map. You receive emails when you reach towns and cities, providing educational milestones to keep you motivated.

What is the cost of the app?

The app offers a free 28-day trial. After the trial, a monthly subscription is available for unlimited access. You will be automatically subscribed and charged monthly unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial period.

Can I use this app with my running club?

Yes, you can get your running club involved. The app allows you to set up teams with your own leader boards and group chats, fostering interaction and competition among members.

What kind of activities can I track?

The app tracks structured runs and walks where you consciously decide to exercise. It is not a step counter and does not allow for incidental activity or step profiles to be added. Only dedicated runs or walks where you make the conscious decision to get out the door are counted.
