Put more buses you cheap bastards

Thanks for waiting for 3 hours and not even one bus would stop in the station

Hopeless for a foreign visitor

If you don’t have a Norway phone number, you can’t register. End of story

Hi! We understand the frustration. You should still be able to travel without creating a personal Ruter profile, but some profile features require SMS verification. If you don’t receive the code on a non-Norwegian number, you can still buy tickets in the Ruter app without logging in, or use other official ticket channels such as Entur or Vy. WORST APP EVER

Absolutely impossible to be accurate!!!!

Doesn’t work for US visitors

Really should be able to work with a US phone number and US bank card. But it does not. Frustrating. And tickets cannot be purchased at the stations. Use Uber or Lyft instead. Really disappointing.

You will not be able to create a profile in the Ruter app with a US phone number, but you should be able to use your US bank card. Lost my tickets!

I was not able to create an account on this app since I have a US number (the app errors and forces you to use it anonymously). Then, at some point I turned off my phone and somehow all of my tickets disappeared when I turned it back on. Now there is no way for me to get my tickets back and customer service was very unhelpful and offered no alternative methods for me to get a new reduced price ticket or recover my existing tickets. Would not recommend.

We're sorry for the issues you encountered with the app especially with the disappearance of your tickets after restarting your phone. Unfortunately, if the app is used anonymously, there is no way for us to recover tickets once they're lost, and we understand how frustrating that must be. While we currently don’t have a solution for recovering tickets in these cases, we recommend using other options going forward. Tickets can be purchased physically at the station or through the Vy and EnTur apps, which offer the same types of tickets. We're continuously working to improve both the user experience and accessibility for all travelers, regardless of where their phone number is registered and thank you for your feedback. Can not sign up

When I put in United States +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX; I check “consent”, hit confirm and nothing happens. Every time.

This is the best app I’ve ever used — period. And no, I don’t work for the company. It’s simple to use, powerful and encompassing. Please don’t change anything.

Not working with US number

I’m trying to create an account, but no matter what I do, I just get a little exclamation point symbol when I try to continue. The only other option is to cancel, so that’s as far as I get. Not very helpful for travelers 🙁

Hi, Jessee J. Unfortunately we do have some issues regarding logging in with a foreign number. You can however still use the app without a profile (as a guest), but we do recommend that you then send the receipts or copy/screenshot the ticket number, so we will be able to help you if anything happens with your app. Kind regards, Victoria/Ruter.

Text code doesn’t work

This is a great app except that with my American phone number the verification code never comes through.

Amazing, so much better now

So many improvements from the first years of this app. Love the shortcuts where I can now select stations with the routes I need, but please add a function for us to manually reorder the shortcut stations!

Thank you for removing some silly “tourist” spots on the map.

Never receive the code

Impossible to set up a login since it never sends a code, at least to this US-based cellphone. Many discussions on the Internet about this idiotic bug/failure.

OTOH, continuing as guest does work and the rest of the app seems to work well including the walking directions for segments of one’s travel.

Thanks for the App and very nice usage. I Hope that in cologne the developers of the KVB App will have a Look on your‘s, because they Know only how to Create an App which is unusable.

On Thing to optimie is the Order process for day tickets for more than one person - why I have to order them 1 by 1 and not in one order?

The Best Transit App I’ve Used

I loved using this app in Oslo. Intuitive and functional, it is everything you need for navigating the area. When we went to Bergen we had to use Skyss, which was a significantly worse app interface and functionality.
