Skyss Billett vs Ruter

From 1 August 2026, you will no longer be able to earn a travel discount in this app. Switch to the new Skyss app – you can still earn travel discount there. This old Skyss Billett app will be closed in autumn 2026. For more information visit skyss.no Skyss Billett is the easiest way to purchase public transportation tickets in Hordaland County. The application allows you to purchase both single tickets and season tickets for travel by bus. The payment methods can be used in the application: - Mobile account, refilled via VISA/MasterCard or by money transfer. - Vipps. - Credit card (VISA/MasterCard). - Phone bill. It is possible to associate multiple users to one mobile account, so that travels are charged to only this account. The mobile account is not the same account as the account associated with the Skyss-card. After downloading the app you only have to add your credit cards the first time you use them. Future purchases can be made with the same cards. Skyss Billett allows you to easily and quickly purchase tickets, but you must buy your tickets before you embark the vehicles. Customers are responsible for having a valid ticket and enough battery power left on their device to show the ticket to any inspector as long as you are onboard one of our vehicles.
