Scam company
Wish I had trusted the other bad reviews they really do stink. Was denied for the most obvious ear infection claim, zero reason just denied. Such a rip off don’t bother.

Awful service and insurance
If I could give this company zero stars I would. I purchased insurance 3 days before any onset symptoms. I had an ear infection that was causing severe pain, I couldn’t eat for a full day because I couldn’t open my mouth really. Because I went to the doctor within the first 72 hours of having the policy I was denied coverage. Despite paying the initial bill and signing up over 72 hours before going in and before having any symptoms. This company is worthless, it would be better to have no insurance than purchase this. Again I purchased on the 9th or 10th of a month, it was processed on the 11th. Then I had treatment on the 13th. Despite ordering it on the 9th or 10th (I forget) it didn’t count until the 11th. Also my coverage was from the 11th to the 10th of the following month. This means that I paid for 11th, 12th, and 13th but didn’t receive coverage. Worthless company…

The app said I was covered
The app said I was covered but it turns out I wasn't. It still says I am now and it won't let me cancel. Staff wasn't helpful at all and says it's not their fault. Offered me a $20 voucher.

They will do everything in their power to deny your claim. BE CAREFUL!
THEY NEVER PAY CLAIMS
This is a horrible company. Even if you provide them with receipts, medical reports, boarding passes, photos; They will still not pay your claims. They do not read t her attachments you send them and constantly ask you to send medical reports: even if you already sent more than one.

Sounded promising, with modern features available at your fingertips. However, the app is useless, and support team unable to assist. Makes one wonder, if this is a scam - once you purchase your annual insurance policy, you are effectively out of money with no possibility to actually submit a claim.

Don’t use this company
I bought electronics coverage my phone was pickpocketed in cologne. I provided a police report and all my receipts. But they still won’t approve my claim. This company is a scam. When you need it the most they will let you down. Don’t waste your money here

WORST INSURANCE
what they’re doing is illegal
Staff does not know/understand requirements.
I filed a claim. Was rejected. Staff emails me requirements. I send required documents as requested. Rejected by two staff members. I question third staff member who admits that correct documentation was provided by me. Asked me to send again. Send again. Now a 4th staff member is requesting ADDITIONAL INFO even though I provided correct documentation as requested by the first staff member.

The app didn’t work on my iPhone. The insurance didn’t meet my expectations
AVOID THIS INSURANCE!
I’ve been a digital nomad for 5 years now, and I’ve never had such a TERIBLE experience in a foreign country, especially caused by an external service that’s supposed to give you peace of mind, like an insurance provider.
SafetyWings policy is full of legal LOOPHOLES and feels shady and unreliable. Be very careful, you won’t feel secure or protected. They take no responsibility for anything, and if you decide to cancel (even just a few days after activating the policy), they won’t refund you a single cent.
It’s extremely disappointing. If you’re looking for true peace of mind in case something happens to you abroad, never gamble on this company. This has been the worst experience I’ve had in all my years of traveling.
Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention to the reviews here, that already speaks by themselves (2.2 stars!!)… Please learn from my mistake and enjoy your travelling.

Scam company don’t pay claims
I am world traveler , paid so many money on this insurance for last 6 years. When it time of need, they refuse to accept claims and give nonsenses reasons..

I really like the ease at which you can sign up to insurance, they have done an awesome job! I have used them multiple times at a minutes notice before I go overseas. I haven’t yet had to claim insurance
They will do everything to deny a claim.
Have uploaded 3 claims, different causes. All 3 denied, they will move heaven and earth to not reimburse you.
A REAL insurance
There has not been a single time that SafetyWing has not covered me. I am a nomad and have used my insurance in more than 10 countries around the world. Now they have an app and it is really convenient and easy to check my coverage. Easy, fast and reliable.
