This app is extremely outdated. You can’t even schedule a future payment on your mortgage. It only allows you to schedule payments for the same day. Unbelievable

In this day and age of digital technology customers trying to make payments on loans to the principle using the online app cannot do this. Such a lousy setup, whoever is in charge of developing the functionality of the app should be removed due to incompetence. Other bank apps allow for extra payments and principle payments but not this one.

NEEDS MODERN AUTH
By not offering OTP or passkey auth solutions, Salem Five is putting the entirety of its customers' assets at risk. Text/email codes are obsolete and prone to exploit. Every customer dollar deposited to Salem Five is objectively less secure than one deposited at another bank that uses modern auth built by actual grownups.
While we're on it, successfully answering the text code challenge on login is supposed to LOG THE CUSTOMER IN, NOT REQUIRE PASSWORD RE-ENTRY. It is 2026, please treat your customers accordingly.

This app is absolutely garbage in today’s technology world. It works less than 50% of the time. Continually freezes and requires constant restarts of iphone a real detriment to having an account

It feels like too frequently when I try to open the app, it doesnt work. This morning been trying to check my balance and there is a notice saying "app will be down saturday 22nd ..." but i cannot get into the app today, Friday, because the notice wont go away. This is not the first time something like this has happened and its very frustrating.

Bill Pay Stopped Working
Banking app was ok until they upgraded online bill pay app, which broke online bill pay. They seem to have no idea how to fix it and told me to mail paper checks instead.

This message has erroneously appeared on a weekly basis for the majority duration of the week. Occasionally the app 'fixes itself', but only works for approx 2-3 days.

App is not letting me sign in still even with the new update

App never remembers my login credentials, FaceID always resets, and some menu items lead to dead ends. App looks like something from 2010.
