You do not get vital notifications

The entire purpose of this app is to provide seamless communication between patients and their IVF clinic, but that becomes impossible when patients are not receiving notifications for important messages. I have reached out to Salve directly regarding this issue. I was told that the problem must be on my end, and that my settings were not configured correctly. I provided a screenshot showing that my notifications are properly enabled. Patients going through IVF should be able to rely on communication platform that the Clinic uses, especially during a process for timing matters so much. I hope this issue is investigated and resolved quickly not only for me but for other patients who may be experiencing the same problem

IVF is already an emotional roller coaster and so much of this process is dependent on precise timing, test results medication instructions, and how your body is responding from one day to the next when these results and instructions are communicated through the app receiving timely notifications is extremely important.

Awful UI, app keeps crashing and messages won't load or send

I cannot believe how terrible of an experience I've had using this app. It's such a barebones app it feels like it was built by AI and prompted by a new grad. And I updated the app recently, the app has been crashing, I can't load or send any messages. It's over 24 hours since I've had these issues what a joke.

Why 1:1 email:clinic?!

Completely unacceptable that I have to use a new email address for each clinic I’m working with. Most of the time I have to delete and reinstall the app to toggle between clinics, and I’m missing notifications from one clinic when I’m logged unit the other. Appalling architecture.

App doesn’t open sometimes

App doesn’t open sometimes and it super frustrating when you need to be able to review nursing notes.

Abhorrent data privacy agreement

This terrible app has been forced on us by our HCP. It's incomprehensible and borders on hostile to the patient. Blatant data grab plain and simple. There is no benefit to the patient.

So many bugs

I can’t play a single video. The sound does not work. I’m on the latest version on iPhone

Horrible Execution, Horrible Design

Forced by health provider to use this app and it makes a frustrating situation infinitely more difficult

Unable to login

Unable to login. Seems like the app is down as it’s not just me that can’t login. Very stressful when the app is down when that’s the way the clinic contacts you

Soooo buggy and no notifications

Doesn’t send notifications.
Anytime I scroll up in the chat window to read an earlier message I get bumped down to the bottom before I’m done ready SO FRUSTRATING.

Probably the worst app I’ve used

The user experience seems designed to make the function of a simple chat more difficult. Not surprised by all the other one star reviews

Truly unbelievable that we are being forced to use this awful app

As if infertility weren’t bad enough, the frustration of using this app just piles on. Awful organization, terrible messaging interface, documents are hidden only in unintuitive places. Really, really, really bad UX.

Always a log in issue

There is almost always an issue with login, login with password, login with Face ID. It says “something went wrong try again later.” Should have better platform for patients

So informational

I’m surprised by the negative reviews. This app has been an incredible resource in my fertility journey. There is so much information on here with detailed explanations on medications, appointments, treatment plans, timelines etc. I’ve also never been able to talk to my doctor’s care team so easily at any other medical clinic (even outside of fertility). This app makes that communication easy and seamless. The one thing I wish they could add is subject lines and a group thread for my partner and I.

Simple & Functional

Having used the app for a few weeks now, I’m surprised by all the negative reviews. I haven’t had any problems with it at all. I’ve found it to be easy to navigate and I appreciate the clean interface and user experience. The notifications work great and everything’s been top notch. Two thumbs up.

Useless app

A DRILL DOWN FOR Y/N FOR EVERYTHING IS GENUINELY THE WORST USER INTERFACE DECISION I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE. PLEASE GET HELP.

Can’t log in most of the time!

There’s a glitch it seems like every other day where I can’t log in to get time sensitive info. I had to push a whole cycle back because I couldn’t log in the app which is happening again at this moment so finally writing a long overdue review. I constantly get an error message to email their UK support email when I can’t log in. Then 1-2 days later it magically works. Phone restarts, updates, etc., nothing helps!! This app is terrible and I hate that CCRM forces communication on us this way!

Response from developer

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having such persistent login issues with the app. App Store reviews are anonymous so unfortunately we can’t look up your account details, but these types of intermittent login issues are usually down to the network you might be connected to at the time - especially workplace and public wifi. We usually recommend users try switching to mobile data to see if that helps, and disabling any VPNs you might have enabled. If this doesn’t help, please send us an email at hello@salveapp.co.uk where our support team will be happy to help.

Great system!

Our IVF clinic told my wife and I to download this app to help with communication with the nurses and Doctor. It not only allows us to chat with our providers, but it has an entire education model built in so if we have specific questions, we can get them answered without calling the clinic. Very impressive!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your feedback, and we're so glad to hear you're impressed with Salve. Streamlining communication and education is close to our hearts, so it's great to see that these features have been helpful for you and your wife. Wishing you lots of luck with your treatment from the Salve team 💜

Issues with notifications

I keep receiving notifications from previous messages that are days if not weeks old. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded the app which hasn’t solved the issue. Quite frustrating when you are awaiting important news to be disappointed to receive a notification from two weeks ago.

Worst part of working with CCRM

Like many other one star reviews, this app was forced on to me by CCRM, my medical provider. It’s got terrible patient privacy user agreements as numerous other reviews have pointed out and you can only check messages on the app, not the web portal. It’s extremely frustrating to be forced to digest long “messages” from CCRM with critical info on a small iPhone screen. Not to mention accessing documents and medical records. Further, there is no way to give your partner access to the messaging, cutting out 1/2 of the patient and couple experience. This is a joke of an app, and CCRM should be embarrassed by the terrible reviews and patient outcry. I wish I could give this zero stars, of the many medical platforms I’ve used over the years, this is by far and away the worst and least functional.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has been frustrating. While Salve is used as part of your clinic’s care pathway, we understand it can be challenging if the platform doesn’t meet your expectations. On patient privacy: we updated our US data policy and End User Licence Agreement in August 2024 following user feedback. Since then, we’ve had minimal concerns raised, but we’d really like to understand your perspective. Please feel free to email us at hello@salveapp.co.uk. Messaging is now available on the web portal as of April 17th – we hope this helps with reading longer clinic messages. Documents have been accessible via the web portal since launch, and our support team is happy to help if you’re having trouble locating them. We’re also working on a group messaging feature to support patients and partners together, which we’re aiming to release later this year. Thanks again for your feedback – it’s incredibly valuable to us. Please don’t hesitate to reach out via email if there’s anything else you’d like to share or if we can assist further.
