About

SARON Prep trains you for the Canadian ATPL(A) SARON written examination — Air Law and Procedures, Airframes and Systems, Instruments, Navigation, Flight Operations, Theory of Flight and Human Factors — and keeps score against the 70% pass mark until you are comfortably past it. 449 ORIGINAL QUESTIONS, 54 TOPICS Every question was written from the underlying public sources: the Canadian Aviation Regulations, the aeronautical information manual, the study and reference guide for the licence, and standard systems, aerodynamics and human factors theory. Each one carries a full explanation and a source reference, so a wrong answer teaches you something instead of just costing a mark. Every question and citation was re-checked against the Canadian Aviation Regulations and the TC AIM 2026-1 for this release. EXAM-FAITHFUL MOCK EXAMS 80 questions sampled to the exam's subject weighting, a 3-hour-30 countdown, flagging, a question palette, and no feedback until you submit — exactly like exam day. Results are scored by section, with a full review of every question, so you know which of the seven areas is holding you back. A LOAD SHEET GENERATOR, NOT ONE STALE EXAMPLE Airline transport pilots are expected to read a load control document and correct an out-of-balance aeroplane. Every session generates a brand-new load and trim sheet — structural limits, zone weights and arms, cargo, fuel, zero fuel, take-off and landing weights with their moments — and asks questions computed from that document, including per cent MAC and the weight-shift problem. Three sheets in four put the centre of gravity outside the limits at take-off or at landing, so "is it within limits?" is never a free mark. WORKED CALCULATION DRILLS Generated ISA deviation, pressure and density altitude, cold temperature correction, crosswind component, hydroplaning speed, stall speed versus bank, minimum IFR fuel, convergency, departure, UTC and time zone, groundspeed and ETE, 1-in-60, descent point, climb gradient and Mach-to-TAS problems — fresh numbers every time, each with the full working. SPACED REVIEW THAT DOESN'T FORGET Every answer is tracked. Missed questions come back on a spaced schedule until they stick, and the dashboard estimates your readiness against the pass mark by section and by topic, so the next study session chooses itself. MUST-KNOW NUMBERS LIBRARY One card per topic with the memorization core: fuel reserves, VFR minima, alternate minima, oxygen thresholds, wake turbulence separation, holding speeds, flight and duty limits, V-speeds, climb gradients, time of useful consciousness — each with its reference. BUILT FOR STUDY, NOT FOR DATA Universal app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Works entirely offline, with no account, no advertising, no analytics and no data collection of any kind. Your progress stays on your device. Written by a Class 3 flight instructor who sat this exam. Independent study aid — not affiliated with or endorsed by any regulator, and not a substitute for the current regulations and publications, which always take precedence.

PICK, THEN CONFIRM Tapping an answer now only selects it, so you can change your mind. Nothing is scored until you press Confirm answer; then the explanation opens. A KEYBOARD THAT KEEPS UP On an iPad or Mac keyboard: A–D or 1–4 to choose, Return to confirm and Return again to move on. Keys never reach the question behind an open appendix, and they keep working after you cancel a Submit. APPENDICES THE SIZE OF THE PAGE On iPad and Mac, a load sheet or flight plan now opens as a full page, sized so the whole sheet fits. Exam review opens the same sheet. EVERY QUESTION RE-CHECKED Every question and every citation was checked against the Canadian Aviation Regulations (current to 3 September 2026) and the TC AIM 2026-1, and each correction was independently challenged before it went in. 129 questions were corrected. Among them: the new instrument-recency rule took effect on 17 June 2026, not in December 2025, and claims with no Transport Canada source were replaced with what TC actually publishes. CALCULATIONS YOU CAN TRUST Every generated load sheet and drill is now checked by an automated test harness, run on millions of samples. Cold-temperature corrections come straight from the TC AIM table (the old rule of thumb could under-correct by up to 20%), ISA answers are right at every flight level, every load-sheet figure adds up from the printed values, and no answer is given away by its position or length. Also: VoiceOver reads each option's letter and says which answer was yours, and the Library and subject board no longer leave a lone card on a row of its own.
