Worst APP and AIRLINES
The configuration of APP is cumbersome and extremely difficult to get any useful information.
SATA Airlines continues to score below standards. I purchased first class seats - 4 hours before flight I got an email stating my flight was cancelled from JFK to PDL.
After going around the moon to find someone to speak with, they clarified and told me my first class seats were sold to someone else for more money.
This happened to my brother Retired USAF Colonel also flying with me.
This is series of numerous incidents I have experienced with this airlines flying them for 20 years.
Unfortunately it's the only airline that flies to where I am going.
So BEWARE!!!.

You have to create an account to use - I’m only going to visit once
You have to create an account to use - I’m only going to visit once - I’ll just go old school with paper tickets
Was fairly straight forward to use and works as intended
Looks like whatever issues they had before were mostly sorted. Still a little clunky in places, but overall very helpful and useful to check in.

Genuinely Awful
I couldn’t even get past the create an account screen. You try to scroll and it’ll randomly open fields to enter information.
10 minutes later I finally click create account, and it says “error creating account”. No information as to why, not showing anything missing or incorrectly filled out.

Cannot register
Unable to register and is a must if you want to manage your flight

This is the worst app I’ve ever used. The “Remember me” doesn’t work and I have to constantly login every week or two. The app won’t integrate with the website information: 1) If I made my reservation through the website, it NEVER comes up in the app and I have to manually update it; 2) at least 50% of the time I check in on the app, I have to reclaim my miles (I’m GoldSky, so that’s a lot of work on my end as I travel Azores Airlines a lot, and it happens about 25% of the time otherwise whether I book it myself or through a travel agent even when I’m not using the app, which is horrible customer service for its frequent fliers). Making reservations is very difficult. The app often doesn’t work if I have my VPN engaged, putting my phone at risk to disable the VPN to use the app. The UX is not intuitive and frustrating to use. I have complained to SATA directly about the app. Updates to the app are superficial at best. Looking forward to the Atlantic Connect Group takeover. There is tremendous productivity lost in terrible inefficiencies such as this app.

Cannot register
App installed fine, but unable to register - kept on asking for Country but would not accept Canada from pull down. Somebody fix this please!!

J’ai 4 vols reservés avec SATA à la fun du mois. CES vols n’apparaissent pas dans l’app, et quand j’essaye de les entrer manuellement je reçois l’avertissement qu’ils sont déjà inscrits.
Quand j’essaye de contacter SATA via le lien dans l’app ça ne fonctionne pas, malgré plusieurs tentatives.

A year later still just as bad!
Though I created an account on line, and was able to locate my flights that way, the app continually said if I didn’t see my flights, check my email, which got me nowhere. The chat function was zero help. Hope my flight experience will be better!

The worst airline and app. Portrays Portugal in a negative way. Shame on this company!
Frustrated user
Well to see reservations you need to create an account. And the app asked me too much info on address and birthday, the calendar for birthday starts today and you have to click hundreds times to get to your birthday (like, really?) and after all the struggles “Unexpected error occurred” and account wasn’t created. What a horrible mess.

I wish zero stars was an option; agree with previous reviews that developer should be fired. They would be better not having an app at all - it does almost nothing, never works, exits randomly, login process is a PIA. Airline isn’t any better.
As a public service announcement - if you are flying Azores / SATA, don’t bother with the app - worse than a waste of time! The only good thing is that you will hopefully land in the azores at some point which is a beautiful part of the world

Boarding pass not showing up after check in
I checked into my flight and went to access my boarding pass, but it won’t let me. It’s saying that I need to check in to access them, but I already have.
Multiple people unable to create account
A few of us tried to create an account and no one was successful. Every option turned on the app just says error with no explanation. Not really a good sign of a good product/ service if I were ever to be able to login
The app is as bad as the airline
Don’t expect this app to have any correct info. Flight was delayed 4 hours, still coming up as “on schedule”. Wasted a whole day in the airport when it all could have been avoided. This happened both ways.
