Travel smart with Scapia

I’ve been using the Scapia App for a while now, and honestly it’s become one of the best apps for travellers. Booking flights and hotels is super smooth. No confusion, no unnecessary steps, just quick and easy.

What I really like is the Scapia coins you earn on spending. It actually feels rewarding, and the best part is when you redeem those coins, you get really good discounted rates. It makes a noticeable difference, especially if you travel often.

Overall, it’s simple, practical, and genuinely useful — not one of those apps that just looks good but doesn’t deliver. Definitely recommend it if you travel even occasionally.

⭐☆☆☆☆ – Worst Customer Support for a Travel Card | 3 Unresolved Issues

I have been a Scapia cardholder for 3–4 months and what started well has turned into an incredibly frustrating experience.

🔴 Issue 1 – Name Correction: After booking a flight from Bangalore to Hanoi, I needed a small name correction for my wife's ticket. I contacted Scapia immediately. Weeks passed with zero resolution — just empty timelines and no callbacks. I had to visit Bengaluru Airport TWICE and fix it myself directly with AirAsia. A travel card that can't help with basic travel issues is pointless.

🔴 Issue 2 – Wrongful Cancellation Charges: AirAsia cancelled my flight (PNR: QERY6D) — I did NOT cancel it. Scapia's own agent promised a FULL refund. Instead, ₹9,252 was deducted as cancellation fees. How can you charge a customer cancellation fees when the AIRLINE cancelled the flight? This is unfair and I believe it violates basic consumer protection rights.

🔴 Issue 3 – Refund Not Adjusted in Current Billing Cycle: The partial refund I received is sitting as a negative balance to be adjusted NEXT month, while my current bill shows the full amount as payable. This is how interest traps work. Every other card I own adjusts credits in the same billing cycle.

Every time I asked to speak with a senior representative, I was told to wait 3–4 hours for a callback. Not once did anyone call back.

Avoid this card if you value your money and your time.

On your concerns— the name correction was completed via the airline, the remaining refund is currently pending from the airline’s end, and the negative balance you’re seeing appears to be temporary due to the refund adjustment and should get resolved shortly. If this does not reflect correctly in the next couple of days, please reach out to the bank at scapiafederalcards@federalbank.co.in so they can review it further. We’re keeping a close check on this and will keep you updated.

Not useful to book irctc or bookings with senior citizen

Un Imaginable Features

I’m genuinely impressed with the Scapia Federal Credit Card — it has features that feel almost too good to be true for a frequent business traveler like me.
Normally, I rely on my corporate credit card for international trips, which means paying a hefty forex markup (plus GST) on every single transaction. With Scapia, there’s zero forex markup — my spends are converted at live exchange rates with no hidden charges. That alone is a massive saving.
What surprised me even more is the smart dynamic limit feature in the app. When I spend in USD, my available credit limit is instantly displayed in USD. Switch to KWD in Kuwait, and it automatically updates to show the limit in KWD. No more manual calculations or currency conversions — everything is seamless and in real-time.
The Scapia team has done an outstanding job designing a card that truly understands the needs of business travelers. I was so convinced that I recommended it to my entire team of 40 members, and many have already applied.

Overpriced Rewards & Poor Value – Needs Major Improvement

Most credit cards give 4 points for ₹1, but Scapia gives 5 points for ₹1 — and still ends up being a big loss. Their hotel and flight prices are much higher than other travel apps, so the extra points have no real value. You end up paying more just to redeem rewards.

On top of that, they don’t increase the credit limit even after consistently using more than 50% of the limit every month for the last 2 years. No matter how responsibly you use the card, the limit stays the same.

Overall, overpriced bookings + low-value rewards + no credit limit growth make this card and app disappointing. Needs major improvement.

Some UI/UX feedback

1. To juggle between the 2 cards, there is no instruction on how to toggle, atleast for the first time there should be some instructional message informing to swipe up for toggling between the 2 cards
2. Invite a family member - Show a countdown or like # of days remaining for you to invite your family. Something like this. Else I have to go back and remember the date on when I activated my card and calculate the days to come back again on the app to proceed with Add On cards
3. Level 1 Badge - The first half of the page with the gift gif displays - ‘Collect 3 more badges’ while the below half displays ‘Collect 3 out of 6 badges’. For a person who already has 2 badges, the first message displayed is confusing and it’s telling me to collect 3 more badges. Both these messages are contradictory

Great Vision, Poor Execution

The approval rate for your card is significantly below the industry average. Several of my friends with CIBIL scores ~800, already holding premium cards like HDFC Infinia/Diners were still rejected.
On top of that, my own experience has been disappointing. My credit limit was automatically reduced during the initial months and hasn't been revised despite multiple requests. The card's tap & pay feature fails most of the time and UPI transactions don't go through on the newly introduced RuPay variant. These issues have been pending for weeks and there's been no response to follow-up emails.
To the Sales and Partnerships team, please take this as constructive feedback. Broaden your partnerships beyond Federal Bank; don't rely solely on one partner. Scapia started with great potential to redefine co-branded cards in the Indian fintech space, especially for frequent travelers. But based on my experience since the early days, it's beginning to feel like another fintech misstep surviving on investor money rather than product strength.

Applied Sep 2025, application was very smooth, got virtual cards next day, and dual cards delivered within a few days, the app experience is amazing, one-stop-shop for travel, airport privileges is a great new concept, reward points are restrictive but good considering lifetime free, and zero forex is a nice plus

Pathetic Experience with Scapia Card

I have been calling Scapia every single day for the past 3 days to get my card delivery expedited for my upcoming foreign travel. Every time, they confidently say “it’s been expedited, we’ll update you soon” but No one ever calls back, and nothing ever happens.
It feels like they are just reading scripts and making false promises straight to your face. The “expedited” delivery they keep talking about is a complete joke There’s absolutely no action, no follow-up, and zero accountability.
For a product that’s supposed to help travelers, this has been the worst experience possible right before my trip. I’ve wasted so much time chasing their support team for something that should have been simple.
Do yourself a favor and don’t bother with Scapia forex card. Their service is unreliable, their customer care is unresponsive, and their promises mean nothing. I would never recommend this card to anyone who actually needs their money or card on time.
One word: Pathetic.

Poor customer support

I had booked an airline ticket and the cancellation charges shown on the app were mentioned as 1.5k. However, when I cancelled I’ve been charged thrice the price which is 4.5k. On calling, I received no help from the customer support team who just kept on repeating how they are not responsible for any amount claimed on the screen because ‘it’s subject to change by airline’ and they ‘would not’ take the issue up with the airline.

Booking from an airline app, the charges that are deducted are what is mentioned while booking, being an agent who’s doing the booking here- how are they not taking any responsibility if there is such massive discrepancy in what is shown as the refund amount and what I actually receive back in my account. The most frustrating part was the customer executive who just kept on repeating the same line instead of even trying to check if something can be done.

Worst Experience Ever with Scapia Credit Card

As a customer, this has been the most frustrating and unprofessional experience I have ever faced. Despite multiple follow-ups regarding my credit card delivery, there has been absolutely no seriousness, no accountability, and no resolution from the team. It has now been over 2 months, yet no action has been taken to fulfil a simple customer request.

The customer support team only gives false assurances without any progress. This kind of careless and irresponsible service is unacceptable, especially for a financial product where trust and timely service are critical.

I would strongly advise others to stay away from Scapia if they expect even the minimum level of professionalism, responsiveness, or respect for customer time.
