Horrible new layout
The new layout is awful. The app was fantastic, 5 stars. Now it’s not even worth using. Please bring the old layout back!
Nice content, but the ads are extremely intrusive!
Nice eclectic mix of subjects. Ads are intrusive and will not allow you to return to the article. Had to delete the app. Very annoying.
Latest update was a downgrade
The most recent update, while it added dark mode, was a downgrade in functionality and usability.
We lost swipe navigation and easy reading of headlines. It feels clunky to navigate, having to use two hands to find that damn back button.
The headline text cuts off at the fifth word on my 13 mini, so I can barely read a headline.
The highlights scrolling section is so sensitive that I can’t scroll it, then it scrolls so fast I can’t read the headline any more.
Please bring back the old functionality and accessibility.

They’ve ruined the UI
They have totally altered the UI. Instead of being able to scroll through articles with complete headlines, they flash them by you with a truncated headline for a couple of seconds.
If I wanted prime video, I’d go to their app.
I have this app to *read* articles, not have images flashed at me. It’s just goofy.
As soon I find another one to replace it, I’ll delete this silly thing.

Ads ruin app but still great
I love the app
If you like adverts more than science then this one is for you.
I was on the app for 30 seconds and was shown 2 adverts, had it crash on me once and it wouldn’t even let me scroll down on the story i was interested in. Go elsewhere this really isn’t worth your time when there are worth competitors out there who respect you and see you as more than a profit to them. They don’t even let you hold down on words to look up what it means in more depth demonstating a clear disregard and lack of thought for the user experience. All they care about is themselves.

Ad App with news on it
The app, regardless of what you click, will present an ad to you every 10-30 seconds. The type that require you to wait 5 seconds and make three clicks to remove. Unusable app
Too many ads
I gave a review about too many ads and the developer responded to me that they were working to better balance ads I will give them another try
Great app for science
I use it a bunch to stay up to date on the newest science stuff. It’s a great app.
Where’s the X?
The app was very nice until all the upfront ads. Now you can’t even get to the content. I’m deleting and will go somewhere else for science news. Too bad

This app is excellent- pulls in a the best science articles from around the world
installed and deleted in 30 seconds
opened the app and in less then 30 seconds i got 4 (FOUR) full screen ads, i didnt even get the chance to click an article ! this app must have been different at some point because it’s unusable in its current state… 0/5

Not worth it
The adds they got makes this app not worth your time. You have to wait and press four times x before tou get to see a subject and when reading different story the same adds appears

Too many money grab screens
Used to like this app. Plan on spending way too much time waiting for the annoying game apps to end before you see anything.

Too many pop up ads really annoying so deleted.

Absolutely intrusive bizarre irrelevant commercial interruptions. I only posted one star because I could not post with zero or a negative number. You should be embarrassed
Was great, now Ad-driven horror
This was a great app, but I can’t stand to wait through the several persistent pop-ups per story…I’m now deleting this app (I was a loyal user for a few years).
Too many ads
Used to like this app and content before it started showing a frequent amount of very long advertisements. Had to delete it.
