Update is terrible

I’ve been doing this program loyally for years. This new update sucks, the app is really not user-friendly and the workouts are definitely not as good huge downgrade in qualitt since the system update. The workout used to be enjoyable and now you’re not even really using equipment or weights? Lot of band works and box steps. My gym doesn’t have this stuff. Please go back to the original. I’ll be switching programs until then.

Did the app change?

I started using this app a week ago and I absolutely loved it. I was doing the 1-week trial and had it set for the year membership when it was over. Today is the last day of my free trial and I open the app and it’s completely different. The pictures on the App Store is the old version and the new one doesn’t look like this anymore. All my progress is gone (except for the journals). My program is no longer there and there are now only 3 gym programs available. The descriptions of the programs are too long and have unnecessary information now. The videos are not the same. I don’t like the talking; before it was just a video with an endless loop showing you the proper way to do the workout and form suggestions. I understand the talking for the home workouts but we don’t need that for the gym workouts. The workouts in this new version are not as extensive as the old version and one of the equipment suggestions for a gym workout is a couch. What happened? It was so professional looking before. I went through so many apps before found this one and was ready to pay my membership for it. I’m so glad this happened right before I paid for this because I would have been so upset to pay for this.

Great content, app needs work

I decided to follow along the pregnancy plan and the workouts have been great. However the app could use some improvements. My profile never shows that I’ve completed workouts and I’ve completed at least 2 weeks already (not sure if that option just doesn’t apply for the pregnancy plan). The app sometimes glitches to open up, all I see is the welcome quote page and my homepage doesn’t load until I open/close the app and few times.
Also, when I go back to look at previously completed workouts, my list that was checked off is suddenly incomplete.
A positive note, I like how previous exercises are populated with the sets and weight, that is super convenient :)
Overall, I’ve been loving the plan and I can’t wait to follow along for my postpartum journey.

Incorrect Videos

I really love this app, I have seen results within myself, I have a complain, the videos for workouts have been incorrect and not showing the correct workouts so I end up stuck and end up doing a different workout but I would love to follow the correct plan but it’s been a few videos that don’t show the correct workout and it’s something completely different. I hope this gets fixed soon.

The videos are different than the actual workout

This app used to be good and now I’m noticing that the name of the workout it NOT matching the video demonstration. I got the lifetime membership, but it seems like the owner/moderator of the app doesn’t care to check if each video is reflecting the type of workout.

Inaccurate

Half the time the workouts are inaccurate to the description ie: showing a warm up stretch where the workout for cable kickbacks is. The nutrition info is also inaccurate which can be dangerous like putting something with dairy or soy in the gf df sf section is. This app used to be better

Limiting and glitchy

The workouts change but don’t seem to progress. It also does not give you prompts for what weights you used last time, how much you should progress weekly/monthly. The home exercises are often accidentally in the gym routines, which again makes it feel easier and limiting to challenging yourself. The supersets are a little much, and I only do them if I’m really short on time. They also don’t logistically make sense. Like hammer curls in between cable sets. It’s been good to give me an idea of what I need to do at the gym but it’s not helping me track or progress at all. Kind of wish I didn’t buy the annual subscription.

Great workouts, slow app

I love the structured workouts and ability to log + save weights, sets, reps and other notes. The example videos have helped my confidence when trying new workouts and the tips are so so helpful. However, the app is soooo slow. It happens during EVERY workout. I keep having to switch back and forth from my data to wifi or even delete and reinstall the app bc it freezes on the initial “no one is you and that is your power” opening screen.

SO WORTH IT!

I bought the lifetime membership and this has totally replaced my expensive gym membership. So helpful and I can’t wait to use other aspects of this app/program for future pregnancy and recovery.

Full screen video

I love the app, but since the latest update videos won’t go full screen anymore.

Beginner

Rating this three star because this worked out for him is definitely for beginners! I also doesn’t feel like it hits every muscle that you need to work out for an example there’s not much for quads or calf’s! Arm/back day could be better!

Great app… when it works

I’ve been having so much trouble with this app recently!! Won’t load, won’t let me log in, etc.

When it works, it’s great! Any plan to fix the bugs?

DON’T BUY

The want’s me buy it for a year and I just want a workout, and I don’t want to pay for it. Don’t get this app it just wants your money.!!

Love the work outs, hate the app

Literally stopped the work out to write this.

1. Hate the warm up videos. Having to stop, pause, scan the video multiple times to know what I should do slows me down so much and annoys me. I will often skip the warm up due to this. I wish it was just a list with an individual video like the other work outs.

2. Editing the sets is impossible. Why? I cannot change the reps when I end up doing more or less. When I do body weight I can’t input anything useful. It always glitches.

I want to love this app because I love the work outs and the creator.

Love

I started following Katrina on Instagram years ago when she was doing maternity workouts and I wanted to watch those videos in the gym. I was SO excited when I saw this app. I love the workouts that are on there.
I only have 2 complaints. 1. The videos are super hard to interact with. Buttons on the video screen are difficult to select. Trying to make a video full screen is super difficult and only works some of the time, and when it is full screen it doesn’t rotate to fit the screen. And 2. Putting in the weights and reps is typically super easy, I just wish, for things like treadmill incline, it said “speed” “incline” and “time/mins” instead of “weights” and “reps”.
Other than those 2 things, the app is amazing! The workouts are fantastic. I love that there is yoga and dance videos along with the traditional gym and home workouts.
Thank you! 💪

Overall, I like the app

As I said in the title, overall it’s a great app. However, I’ve noticed some glitches when I’m working out. If I’m watching the videos, I’m unable to put it in full screen. Sometimes it will bug out after an exercise and take me out of the page or the app entirely.

A suggestion I would make to the app developers is to create a calendar which tracks what and how many days you exercised. I feel like this would be a good motivator to see your progress. Especially for me since I mix and match the home and gym workouts and it doesn’t track that process as a whole.

They Force You to Sign Up

They make you go through a bunch of questions. Then they make you create an account. Then they open to the page where the ONLY option is to buy. Can’t try it out. No way to find out if it’s something you really want. Rotten.

Not free

Mind you I searched free workout apps can’t tell you how irritating it is to sign up and everything and then get told you half to pay for a subscription

Good, but Room for Improvement

The app has great workouts and mostly clear instructions. I love that there are videos for every exercise, but there is a lot of room for improvement. For example; there is no timer for timed exercises within that exercise. That means I have to change to a whole different app to use a timer. And for supersets, I have to back out of each exercise and go into the other one to complete the superset. It’s clunky and time consuming and could flow a lot better. Additionally, it would be great to record notes for each specific exercise within the exercise. And if I put in a weight for the first set, it should populate with that weight for the remaining sets so I don’t have to enter it .
