Works Great! Some UI Flaws
We took a cab to the airport using this app and it went well! The estimated time was correct and it assigned us a cab within a few minutes. It is confusing to use at times - there was no movement on the taxi tracker at any time. But the estimate was right and otherwise it works well!
Disgraceful service DONT USE
I booked a taxi with Seattle yellow 7 days in advance for an anniversary dinner. At the pick up time no one showed nor contacted me. When I called I was told the booking really doesn’t mean anything and if no one chooses to pick up your ride then you are just left stranded. Missed reservation time slot, so lost out on anniversary dinner all because of a ridiculous service that lets you book a taxi but has no intention of showing up. No wonder people use UBER and Lift.

Time is real.
If you need to be somewhere on time don’t use this app. If you don’t care when they show up to get you , this is it.
App is trash
Don’t even waste your time! At least have some cab drivers in designated zones in North Seattle ready to pick people up instead having them ALL south.
App Surprisingly worked
I had phone issues and was unable to access my iPhone and use my usual Lyft app. Instead i had to call from a general office land line and book a ride the old school way. Problem was my phone wasn’t working at all so I didn’t really have a call back number to provide the operator. If you have a house phone or direct office line that might help for other people’s situations.
I called about 45 minutes ahead and asked for a 2:30pm pick up but the ride didn’t get there til 20 or so minutes after 2:30pm. When I called in the operator said they were still looking for a driver…Had me worried but a driver came, and I got to where I needed in time. Not the greatest or a reliable start with Seattle yellow cab.
However I decided to give it another shot since the ride was cheaper than what I’d normally pay. On the way back, my phone finally was back to normal so I decided to try the yellow cab seattle app. Easy to set up once I downloaded the app. The interface is similar to navigate but the difference from Uber and Lyft, is that you can’t put in your destination. Just your pick up location. I don’t think I saw an option to set up a payment card but the YCS app gives you option to pay the driver via cash or card. They have card readers in the cabs. Also they have option to share your ride with your contact(s) If I recall correctly. In the app you can estimate your fare and select car type too. You can also see how far your driver is away from the pick up location and you get a notification they’re a mile away and to be ready to meet the outside. It took about 5 minutes for my driver to arrive by booking via the app, so maybe better than calling them for a ride.
The advantage over Lyft and Uber is this was may more affordable. This trip to my friends place from downtown to west Seattle would have cost me $45 + tip for one way. All in it was ~$21 to get there and the ride back was $20 and some change.
Looks like I found an affordable alternative to Lyft and Uber so I’ll be using YCS more now.

Browser and app logins don’t even match
I mean how do you screw that up?
Sadly, not reliable for getting to airport from UW area
I booked a Seattle Yellow Cab with the app scheduled a day before the trip and got a confirmation that it was booked.
The next day, ready and waiting to go: nothing. 10 minutes after scheduled arrival time, a message, “We’re looking for a cab in your area.” No answer at the phone number listed. Got several more “looking for a cab” messages - luckily another service got us to the airport in the nick of time.
Hopefully Yellow Cab was just having a bad moment, but we won’t risk another possible missed flight….

😳 👎🏽👎🏽
It only tells you that you booked a ride but it doesn’t guarantee you a ride! 😳 Even if you book in advance, like a day before they still don’t guarantee you’ll get a ride. What is the purpose of the app then?
If you can’t guarantee a ride, why don’t you call and let the client know? Or show it on the app or something so you don’t wait for nothing.

App Does Not Book - Do Not Use
This app used to work in previous versions but no longer. It does not confirm your booking or show that you booked anything.
If you need a cab in Seattle, call directly but do not use this app.

Pour battery acid in your shorts!
Setting up app a nightmare. Code arrived HOURS later. Trying to add cc continued the pain. Expiry date kept reverting to December. Then no way to save details. For folks trying to support cabbies this site screams Take Uber!
No way to know if you’ll get a ride
It worked ok the first time but the second and third times I booked ahead with the app they never scheduled me a ride. 45 minutes later they still had no status and no guarantee that I would get one because there are limited wheelchair cabs in the area but I had specifically called two hours prior to make sure it was going to be ok. I told the operator that it was for a doctors appointment and she assured me I didn’t need to worry about the booking. If I had known they were short I could have looked for another option.

Can’t even get registration confirmation code
Looks like this app is about as good as the prior one; zero stars would be more appropriate. No wonder Uber is so dominant. The only thing SYC has over them outside urban areas is scheduled pickup. That is the only reason I still entertain SYC at all.
Great app
It’s a great app
