Senba: Voice Diary & Goals

Senba is a voice diary for your goals. Each day it asks for one small thing: eight seconds of your voice, one photo, one line. Later, it hands your past back as proof. A THOUSAND FOLDS. ONE WISH. Senba comes from senbazuru (千羽鶴), the thousand paper cranes traditionally folded to carry a wish. In Senba, each daily prompt you answer folds one crane. SMALL NEXT STEPS A big goal is hard to start. Unfold it and Senba offers three small, concrete next steps, shaped by the goal and by what you have already done toward it. Not quite right? ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN AND HOME SCREEN Goals get lost when they live inside an app, so Senba puts yours where you already look. Pin a goal to your lock screen and it sits under the clock, with its next step beneath it. Start focusing on a step and it stays on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island until you tap done, then Senba asks how it went. On the home screen, keep a goal or one chosen step in view, tick off a rhythm without opening the app, or pin a spark you want to keep seeing. YOUR OWN PAST, ENTERED AS EVIDENCE Weeks later, Senba plays something back that you had half forgotten. A voice note from March. A photo you stopped thinking about. Hearing your own voice from months ago lands harder than reading anything, and believing you can do a thing comes from your own track record, not from an app telling you that you are great. No charts of your feelings. A missed day is just a missed day, and Senba will never bring it up. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Your voice notes, photos and words never leave your iPhone. Transcription, photo captions, step ideas and the writing all happen on the device itself. There is no account, no sign-up and no server holding your entries. If you turn on sync, it runs through your own private iCloud, which nobody else can read, including us. Senba is free.
