This updates to the app is not good. Cannot edit (rename) the appliance. Cannot merge appliances, Detects appliances but does show it in a bubble. I use this because I have solar panels and it’s great and wanted to compare and monitor my appliances. I have Sense I very long time and it was very good. I looked back and I didn’t see any update why this was changed. Most updates are bug fixes and improvements. Looks like I need to start shopping for another Energy monitor system.

Weak
The meter is too weak to find my network router to which every other device in my house connects just fine, which is not the fault of this app but it makes it useless.
Useless
Obviously this app must be in beta as it can’t connect to a very strong spectrum signal. Why push the use of this app if it won’t work on an Apple phone. Unfortunately your software people are useless!!
No solar support
Even though it claims to support solar when I try to link to my utility provider it says “solar accounts are not currently eligible for Sense.” App sounds interesting but can’t use it.
Please add a grid lines
Add grid lines I the screen that you show the daily consumption and generation so we can estimate the value better. Thanks

Beware
Had my account deleted for absolutely nothing and they’re ghosting me, can’t get a response from their support ticket system. They got my money, I didn’t do a single thing wrong here but choose Sense.
No data on weekly view
When looking at the solar dashboard, any view other than Day shows No Solar Data. And even the Day view appears to be shifted to some unknown time zone. It’s useless.

They don’t have any proper phone support.
Chat support is full of canned responses that are usually irrelevant and deflecting blame. It takes 20-40 to get a simple single answer to one question on chat at best .

Still not impressed
We’re almost two years into the learning and it still won’t find devices consistently. The user interface also doesn’t let you tell sense that you know something is on. Take for instance the toaster oven. The overall load is found, but I think because it’s not on at the same time period or frequency depending on the temperature setting, it still can’t find it consistently.
Overall, if you want to know how much using for the entire house, main oven, or ac units, it’s decent. Any smaller loads, it’s lacking. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Getting worse not better
Have this product for many years now, but a year ago I deleted everything and started over. Now it barely senses anything and when it does sense is completely wrong. Won’t let me rename stuff keeps having ours and stuff that I used to have that I haven’t used in a while doesn’t show up anymore junk software.

Sucks
I was told to download this as apparently National Grid can not provide its customers with the breakdown of usage by time and day for a given month. I was told to use this app yet it is very glitchy and will NOT connect to the smart meter.
Why did you change this?
Why can’t I easily see the dollar value of my production and usage in the solar dashboard anymore? Why are you only showing me the dollar value of the Net amounts everywhere. This is horrible.
App update 2026 Feb
Solar Page on latest app has changed, used have % of power independently generated and consumed from grid, now it has % of time Solar exceeds grid. What about when solar is producing 50 % of power used ? This is stupid , how can do a usage conversion to time ? I think they are listening to power company’s now not users. Why change something that was fine the way it was ?

Recent update ruined solar view
The most recent update that redesigned the solar view made it incomprehensible from the previous version. You also can’t hover and see values anymore. Overall a huge downgrade. Very unhappy.

This latest version blocks the view of the devices with big letters on top
