Important for musicians
I love this app cause it can help you to be a full band with some music ,and assist you in being becoming the musician that you feel you can be.
Limited Chords, poor interface.
This looked great. When I first saw it. Recommended by a jazz musician. However, as soon as I started to use it to create a backing track - I couldn’t find the chords I needed ( no 9th or 7#9! ) and the user interface is so clunky and unhelpful. That I ended up abandoning my practice session! Angry and frustrated that I had obviously been “sold a pup”! Yet another music app that gets in the way of the music and kills the vibe. Very disappointing!

Wow! What a time saver…
I just purchased Session Band Jazz 3 and have already formatted my version of “Take The A Train” with my preference of drum tracks. It was so easy and produced such a great backing track. I’m really impressed.
Excellent!
This app has transformed my playing.Now I can put things in context, and have great feel rather than just playing to a metronome. Excellent I’ll probably end up, picking up the other genres as well.
Finally a backing jazz band that works and has mdern styles
Im nicely surprised at how good this is. The organic feeling of the assets when put together give a good fluid realistic backing band. Very easy to operate and save result. My only criticism and one I don't think they'd be able to fix easily, is the omission of some chord types like quartal and So What voicings. The quartals for Tyner and Ogerman style arrangements. Apart from that this is great work and very much thought through.

Good loops but the whole app is not well designed.
No pause/play button in the edit screen.
This basic feature has been requested for years but developers don’t listen.
The app needs updates based on users’ feedback.

stürzt die App immer wieder ab wenn ich in den Stift Modus gehe und eigene Aufnahmen machen will 😩

Not even nothing!
Editing isn't intuitive at all, couldn't figure out how to just enter a second chord before I got fed up with the app crashing every ten seconds.
Excellent app, but...
Love this one as well as the other two. Please update as you have with 2 and 3 as it crashes and my songs are stuck in the app. Keep on making stellar sounds!
Update: months ago there was an update. But soon after, all three Sessions apps crashed before I could even load them. Help please. I would love to access my tunes...

Thanks guys, my favourite Jazz apps (1, 2 and 3) now have Audiobus 3 compatability with latest update. Any more jazz apps being developed? Jazz 4 please!
The edit mode could be a bit slicker in order to help build up long tracks, but otherwise nicely put together. A 2 bar count in option would be useful especially on tracks with fast bpm.

Sublime
Awesome took for practising semi pro and pro jazz musicians. Sublime sax solos and wide range of tempo and themes. More chord types and straight major/minor would add more variety?????

I love the three jazz apps. I do virtually all my oractice with them. But they do crash alot.
Wish there were a wider choice of chords though.

Used to like the app, and bought nearly all versions / genres of music.
Apart from the things other reviewers mention, my biggest bugbear is the lack of export / copy options, as Audiocopy is so unreliable.
Am now sick of waiting for Audiocopy to process my tracks, only to get the error 'File not found' and Sessionband freezes.
Somebody needs to get their act together.
I'm on a new iPad Pro with latest iOS update.

I have all the SessionBand collection , the quality is superb, easy to use, if only you could import into Logic as separate tracks for further editing etc....this is what the mac OS X needs big time, easier than Band in a box , better for mac .....ok...mac version of SessionBand ?! I would certainly buy!! Pleeease...

Very poor controls...
Can we please.... please.... PLEASE.... have a PLAY/STOP button on the EDIT window!?!
It is INCREDIBLY frustrating and hindering to workflow to keep having to switch backwards and forwards and then stop and start and back and forward again!!

Good but some significant issues
I really like the quality of the backing. Sounds and feels like real musicians rather than midi generated sounds. Great for practising for playing in a group. Limited for use at gigs.
A few problems that would make it fantastic.
1. An easier way to stop. When performing with this app there's no simple way to stop the backing which makes it awkward. To be able to either program the number of repeats or tap for an ending would be good
2. I'd like to be able to move saved backings of my own between the three apps. As it is now you have to reprogram tracks in each app if you want to try a style from a different app.
3. Why are the chords all so obscure? Why not just a C7 for example? Being a pianist I only use the bass and drums so it's "OK" but it's strange that the chord options are so limited and mostly unusual chords.
4. Can future updates be made available as an in app purchase rather than a new app. Having three versions of the same app is strange.

Fantastic!
This is like a cross between iReal Pro and Band in a Box with real tracks. I love the sound of BiaB with real tracks but it isn't convenient to have the computer all of the time. This fills in the gap and gives me the better sound quality I'm missing from iReal.
