Highly Insighful
Response from developer
Thank you so much for your kind words 💚 . We’re really glad Mindberg has helped introduce you to shadow work in such a meaningful way. We hope it continues to support you in understanding yourself more clearly and moving forward with real insight.
Obsessed!
Response from developer
Thank you so much for sharing this so openly 🩵. We’re deeply glad Mindberg has helped you feel genuinely heard and supported in looking beneath the surface, rather than simply managing symptoms. What you wrote about naming the darkness and understanding where it comes from is very close to the heart of shadow work. Real change often begins when we stop avoiding what hurts and start relating to it with honesty, depth, and compassion. Mindberg isn’t intended to replace a good therapist or professional care, but it means a great deal to know it has given you something you were missing and helped you reach the deeper roots of your experience. Your words truly mean a lot to our team 😊.
Smells heavily of AI
Loads of odd, incongruent metaphors and similes that add very little to the point and sound profound but when you think about them they’re often nonsense or unnecessary.
Eg-
“You don’t scroll because you are addicted you scroll because you are worried that your self has turned outwards into the room, and you have become invisible.
This is the wound the body already knows.
Not invisible the way that a person who is overlooked in the causal sense is invisible. —-Invisible like a child becomes invisible when all the rooms warmth has been extracted without prior warning or explanation. “
This is what was in my report. It literally means nothing.
It sounds like not-the-best AI model that has been promoted to write a shadow reports based on the input questions.
You’re better off doing this yourself. In my opinion. Maybe this helps some people. I don’t know.
Response from developer
First of all, thank you for taking the time to explain your reaction so clearly. We genuinely appreciate honest feedback like this. Our reports are not written from scratch by AI. They draw from a large body of human-written material created by our founder, Dr. Kojic, a Jungian psychotherapist, together with other licensed psychotherapists on our team. We do use advanced AI tools to organize and adapt that human-written content to each user’s answers. That said, we agree with your core point. In your case, the wording clearly came across as too abstract, overly metaphorical, and not grounded enough in something useful or clear. Symbolism is an important part of Jungian psychology and shadow work, but it still needs to feel meaningful and connected to real life. When it misses that mark, it doesn’t help. We are actively working on improving the way reports are structured and expressed so they feel more precise, relevant, and practical. The insights themselves remain human-written, and that part doesn't change. We are sorry this report did not give you what you were hoping for.
Great app!

Thank you so much for this beautiful review ❤️. It means a lot to hear that Mindberg has helped you so much in such a short time. What you said about it really working if someone truly wants change is especially meaningful to us, because that is at the heart of what this app is meant to support. We’re deeply grateful for your trust, and very glad Mindberg has already made a real difference for you.
Clarity, Confidence, Growth
Response from developer
Thank you so much for this beautiful review 💝. It means a lot to hear that Mindberg has been with you through such a real inner journey, from suffering into greater calm, confidence, and direction. What you wrote about steady progress and deep personal change is especially meaningful to us. That is exactly the kind of work we hope to support. We’re truly grateful you found Mindberg, and very touched that it has brought such real value to your life.
Invest in this, invest in yourself
If you are one foot in one foot out about “shadow work” / “inner work” — this is not for you. However, if you are — this is game changing.
I’ve been leveraging the app alongside my therapy sessions and you can catch yourself in recurring patterns almost instantly — but only if you choose to.
Very grateful the Mindberg team and can’t wait to see how the app improves so I can also improve.
Response from developer
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review 💛. We really appreciate the honesty in how you described the app. Shadow work does ask something real from people, so it means a lot to hear that Mindberg has felt game-changing for you and supportive alongside therapy. We’re also glad you booked a 1:1 session and that the app is helping you catch recurring patterns more clearly. Your trust truly means a lot to our team.
Incredible
Response from developer
Thank you so much for your kind words 💛. It means a lot, especially coming from someone with a deep connection to Jungian work and a high standard for it. We’re really glad the updates, especially the dream log, have been valuable for you. Your words truly encourage our whole team.
Shadow work, Works !
Response from developer
Dear Eric, thank you so much for this generous and deeply felt review 💚. There is something especially moving about hearing that this work found you at the right moment and helped you feel more centered, grounded, and worthy in such a real way. We also really appreciate that you noticed how the app has grown and matured over time. That means a lot to us, because we care deeply about making Mindberg something that feels honest, useful, and genuinely supportive rather than shallow or performative. What you wrote about finally feeling worthy of love, success, and respect at 52 is powerful. That is real inner work. We’re honored that Mindberg could help support that process. Thank you for your trust, your openness, and your beautiful words.
It works for me!
Response from developer
Thank you so much for writing this. There is something very moving in the way you described your journey. We’re especially touched to hear that Mindberg fits your mind style, because that is exactly what we hoped to create: something people can truly connect with, not just read once and forget. The fact that you even got a journal for the exercises says a lot about the seriousness and heart you are bringing to your own healing. What you wrote about living in a cage of your own making, and now using the app to release yourself, accept yourself, and build a new life, is incredibly powerful. That is real work. We’re honored that Mindberg can be one part of that larger path you are already walking for your mental health. Thank you again for your trust and for sharing this with us. It truly means a lot. 🧡
Design looks pretty, but no trial
Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback. We understand the hesitation. Mindberg is built by a small self-funded team, with expert-written content, original visual work, and no ads, so subscriptions help fund the app. We’re sorry the lack of a trial felt disappointing.
UX/UI Update Fail. Imagine going to your therapist to find the walls painted black.
Dev responded stating that it was intentional. I get that.
The thing I’m trying to point out is that your designers left out on crucial aspect of the human experience - user comfort.
Yes, your app is meant for the user to dig deep and do the hard, dark work. But imagine walking into your new therapist’s office and it being painted black with what looks like two aliens holding each other’s heads on the door. Your existing apprehensions for the hard work would combine with an additional dread for being in the room.
Does your team really think that will make progress for the user easier?? UX/UI designers are supposed to consider the experience of the user, compare it to the desired utilization of the product/app, and then do their best to create a system to maximize the user experience.
Instead, you disregarded the user experience completely, focusing only on content and brand… and alienated the user in doing so.

Prior review:
WHAT DID YOU DO?!?
App works well enough, but they just changed their logo from something that seemed cool and edgy to something that gives me the creeps. Before, it was a, ‘trying something new’ vibe - now it’s an, ‘Am I going to get possessed for hitting this button?” vibe.
You broke something that was working just fine. Did you run this by a focus group, or did you trust one person’s opinion and ego? I’m guessing the latter, as it’s definitely made the app depressing and scary to use.
Response from developer
We understand that visual changes can feel strong, especially when you’ve gotten used to a certain tone and identity. What felt “cool and edgy” before may have created a different kind of connection for you, and it’s completely valid that the new design evokes a different emotional response. The new visual direction was intentional. Mindberg focuses on shadow work and depth psychology, and we wanted the design to reflect that inner, sometimes darker, more introspective space. That said, our goal is never to make the experience uncomfortable in a negative way, but rather meaningful and engaging. Clearly, in your case, it crossed into something that feels off-putting, and that’s important feedback for us. We didn’t make this change lightly, and it wasn’t based on a single opinion, but we also know that no design will resonate with everyone. Your reaction helps us understand where the balance might not feel right, and we take that seriously. We’ll continue refining the experience, including the visual tone, to make sure it supports the work without creating unnecessary discomfort.
New logo and design gives me the creeps!!

One tiny bug
Response from developer
Thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful feedback 💛! We’re really glad you’re enjoying the content, structure, and the way the material is presented, that means a lot to us. We’re sorry about the issue you described. What you’re experiencing definitely shouldn’t happen, and it sounds like a bug related to navigation or session refresh. Our team is already working on improving stability, and feedback like yours helps us pinpoint exactly where the experience breaks. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us at support@mindberg.org so we can look into your specific case and help resolve it faster.
Honest Review
Response from developer
Thank you for sharing this so openly. It’s wonderful to hear how your experience evolved from initial doubt to genuine curiosity and engagement. Shadow work often begins exactly like that: a small step that slowly reveals deeper insight. We’re really glad the content feels relatable and easy to digest, and that the knowledge itself has brought value to you. Your reflection means a lot to us.
Self reflection
This self-reflection is going to do the work that I have not done in countless therapy sessions. I have been afraid of being judged.
Response from developer
Thank you for sharing something so personal. 💛 What you describe, touching an early memory and feeling for that younger part of yourself, can be very powerful, and also tender. Mindberg is designed to offer a non-judgmental space for reflection, where nothing needs to be “performed” or explained to anyone else. We’re glad the experience felt safe enough to allow those emotions to surface, and we encourage you to move at your own pace and with care as you continue.
Incredible
Scam
Really cool so far…
Response from developer
Thank you so much for the kind review! We’re glad you’re enjoying the free version and discovering all the different features. There’s plenty to explore, and we hope Mindberg continues to surprise and support you as you go deeper.
No way to test their app
They add costs on top of your subscription
Response from developer
We understand why that felt frustrating, especially if dream interpretation was a key reason you stayed subscribed. The token system exists so we can manage server and AI costs sustainably as a small, self-funded team and keep the app ad-free, not to take features away unexpectedly. Your feedback is valid, and we’re actively re-evaluating this and considering options to replace the token system.
