Great tool

One of the best tool I have ever used

Wow!

This app and device it works with saved me from having to do a whole living-room ceiling as apposed to just the repair spot. The client saw the first match that I did and asked if I plan on matching the drywall patch and paint to the rest of the ceiling. I said I may have to repaint the whole ceiling. They said that's fine if I have to paint the whole ceiling. Then I bought this device, and after using it on the small area, they thought I had painted the whole ceiling.

Home Depot couldn't match like this. I had to go back and redo a job from a Home Depot color match that didn't match.

I need a separate device???

I had the old colorsnap app sometime around 2019, and you just used your phone’s camera. now I gotta buy some silly single purpose external device that will sit in a drawer except when i use it once every 7 years???? um yeah, no thanks, FFS.

FAQ

What does the SherMatch+ app do?

The SherMatch+ app is designed for professional painters and contractors to quickly and accurately match paint colors and sheens from any painted surface. It uses a connected device to scan surfaces and find the closest Sherwin-Williams paint color, eliminating the need to cut samples or visit a store for matching.

What are the key features of SherMatch+?

Key features include scanning and matching paint color and sheen directly from a surface, saving matched colors, organizing them into job folders, and finding the nearest Sherwin-Williams store. With a Plus subscription, users can also create custom paint colors.

How much does SherMatch+ cost?

The app offers free features for connecting devices, finding closest colors, measuring sheen (with specific devices), saving colors, and organizing jobs. A Plus subscription is available for custom color matching, priced at $4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually, with a free trial until May 31, 2026.

What are the use cases for SherMatch+?

This app is ideal for professionals on job sites who need to quickly match existing paint colors for touch-ups or new projects. It's useful for both interior and exterior residential and commercial paint jobs, helping to reduce errors, save time, and avoid repeat store visits.

Do I need a special device to use SherMatch+?

While the app offers free features for connecting to SherMatch+, ColorSnap Match, or ColorSnap Match Pro devices, a SherMatch+ device is required for custom color matching. These devices are sold separately at Sherwin-Williams retail stores.
