Greedy
App works well enough. Putting the custom color match behind a paywall after paying 120 dollars to sell more sherwin paint is the epitome of corporate greed.
Total waste of time and money
I’ve was hoping this was a game changer especially since I do rental properties but this device barely works as described. I take a scan go to Sherwin where they mix it, go to job paint wall and discover the sheen is way off and the color slightly off. I scan the new paint from Sherwin and compare and it shows difference between them. How does this work if the matched paint isn’t close. Don’t waste you time or $50 for an app. I’m honing back to using a cut out paint sample like before.

Great addition to my tool bag
I’ve used this tool on so many job sites. Very helpful
Junk app
Create an account just to not be able to color match
Nothing bad against the app just mad it wasn’t useful unless I had some stupid accessories
:(
Doesn’t work with your built in camera
You’d imagine you could use this with your built in camera after calibrating against a know color or something. No.
App won’t work
Tried to match a color for a client. Went and bought the shermatch tool, and the app will not work.
Only Apple Pay as an option
Personal cell phone. Personal Apple ID. Bought the device and it sits, useless. Would like the subscription to be paid by business card or SW account. I don’t need a whole new phone dedicated to the business. This app needs alternative payment options.
Excellent
So the 1 star reviews I’ve been reading really are not necessary. This app is designed for those with the peripheral that it was made for. The device is around 100$ but is completely worth it especially if you’re a remodeler/painter.
My wife thinks I’m on a dating app
Color app is touchy and gets close, but not perfect. I have a problem because they renamed the app to sound like a dating app.
Not as advertised
The Sherwin-Williams website said to upload a photo of my room to try out colors, I must download this app. Except the app requires you to purchase special equipment for you home. Ridiculous bait and switch. Useless app.
Can’t use without equiptment
Bummer. Trying to help the local handyman to match paint for me to save him a trip but you can’t use this app without additional equipment from Sherwin-Williams. Would really prefer if this app was an option for a quick photo upload to match the color like it used to exist.
Also annoying that you have to create an account to even view the app. Just not user-friendly and they should definitely have a free option for the average homeowner versus a pro account to serve professionals using their Products and services.

Useless
Does not use phone camera. Requires you to buy a device.
Stupid - want you to buy a $75 camera
Called the nearest Sherwin store expecting to be able to checkout/borrow/rent the camera - but no - they expect you to buy it. What a missed opportunity to sell paint.
Utterly useless
There is no way to upload a photo or take a photo. Must use some sort of SW device. Useless and misleading
Confusing
Not easy too use. The app says you need to connect to another app or website to scan but doesn’t provide a link and the information provided is confusing.
Not an app, requires accessories
Sherwin Williams discontinued its useful color match app that let you take a picture with your phone and get suggested color matches. Now you have to buy a scanner accessory for $50!
So I must pay for a device now when I used my phone for free before ?!
Previously, I use this app and I use the camera on my phone to identify colors. It doesn’t appear that functionality exist anymore? That’s rather disappointing. Even their website list the functionality exists with your phone, but for some reason to do that. Sherwin-Williams get it together guys come on. I know paint your primary focus, but technology should be your second.

Why can’t I use the camera on the phone?
A bit ridiculous these days with all the power in an iPhone
Not buying a $50 accessory to get an approximate visualization
This app is not usable unless you have the scanner from Sherwin-Williams which apparently cost about $50. I love Sherwin Williams paint, but this is really stupid requirement. I realize it’s difficult to get calibrated color with the phone camera but at least you could get a basic idea without having to lay out money for another Bluetooth device (the scanner).
