ShiftKey is awesome!

Shift Key

There are a lot of options provided, however I’ve had a lot of canceled shifts

Can’t work

I am a cna who just received my 90 day temp license and shift key refuses to let me work .. I understand I am not in the state system yet but even when I sent my state letter with my temp license number they refused so I can’t work agency for 3 months.. so frustrating

No opportunity

I worked one shift here before and I'm guessing because I canceled one before my reliability score dropped majorly. However I don't think anyone will accept me because they may be judging me off my score that dropped based off one cancellation.

Shifts

I just seem to have difficulty getting picked for shifts in my area and while trying to travel. I also no sure how long the company has to pick you. Some shifts I have signed up for are 3 hours away. So I cancel after a while because I don’t want them to choose me last minute and I don’t have enough time to make it to the shift.

CNA

The only reason this app gets 2 stars is because there's always facilities to pick up shifts with and you could also bid on shifts. The support is trash they asking you to send your personal information in the chat to the agent which is pretty sketchy to me because it's not like my personal information not connected to my account. Then they take out a lot of unnecessary fees when you have your payout to be sent to your card after you work. I noticed to at times they'll send you a notification about a shift and when click the notification or go on the app it says no longer available. Or course they set it up when doing a review on them you can't upload pictures so they could be like we can't find you in the system. Like yea some of us don't use our real name on our play store & apple App Store.

Frozen screens

Some screens freeze up and then you either have to restart the app or the app just automatically closes and restarts on its own

Location is not always accurate

CNA

I was sent home after 4 hrs because a resident was discharged. I still would have had 9 residents.

Worst for health care workers. Fake shifts for nurses.

Worst and most difficult for health care workers to be able to start working and picking up shifts. Shiftkey post fake shifts for nurses. I pick up shifts but I never get accepted and I went through a difficult onboarding but not even one shift available in Washington state for nurses to work.

Lousy App

App is only functioning sometimes and as well when my credentials nearly expire, they won’t update things in their system after I’ve reloaded information for said credentials. Background checks for certain states and/or vaccinations not even being submitted and I feel like I need to beg in order to get the chat feature fixed. How am I waiting for 2 hrs for a chat and am actively present in the chat and my messages keep saying “sending”, yet no one is replying and then suddenly said chat is over. The app needs a major overhaul. Please fix it

Great

ShiftKey is a great app to pick up shifts and make extra money in between checks if you work anywhere else! Easy fast and reliable

Doesn’t work!

You’ll be lucky if you ever get a shift. I’ve tried for a long time. I’ve even tried bidding lower and I still haven’t got accepted. And $15 and below is not a livable wage, especially for nurses or aides! I deleted my account, I’m over it.

Frustrations

This is the 3 rd and final time I’m doing this…. These reviews are funny. I’m the only person that finds this app not user-friendly. OK the process of getting your documents reviewed is ridiculous. The approval process takes weeks up to a month. Only reason I downloaded it again is because someone reached out to me so I gave it another try & here we go again waiting for someone to approve my documents, and the help feature is no help.

Great place wonderful shift!

Nurse

Shiftkey is ok (certainly not the worst app) but I believe there are a few things they could improve on or add to make employment better. 24 hour help would be great. Considering nursing is 24 hours and clinicians like myself work overnight, the option for help after hours and weekends would be a great addition. I think there should be a phone number to contact customer service. I think the turnaround time for responses could be better. I think the fact that it’s suggested for us to “call the facility” for issues is frustrating. There should be a middleman to speak/advocate for clinicians to maintain professional boundaries and hold facilities accountable for issues they tend to procrastinate on. I think the “bidding” is misleading. There is a maximum bid per facility and it’s mostly capped at $1.50 over the suggested rate. If someone bids too high over 2 times without knowing this, you’re only able to accept the minimum suggested rate. I have found that increasing it (+) by 5-6 taps is usually the max. Instead I think each facility should post the max bid they’ll accept. I think they should cap applicants to a shift by maybe 5 and if the applicant before them cancels or is denied, you move up on the list. I think bonuses should be included for last minute shift postings. I think instant pay of shifts cancelled by facilities should be available instead of in the next weeks pay cycle. I think they should bring monthly surveys to the app. I think holiday pay should be included.

Location Feature

This app has been giving me absolute hell ever since I used it. The location feature never works even after my location restored or even if I connect to the wifi. Before I am getting a signature it says “Location Not Recorded;
App closed on device” which clearly isn’t true if I’m on the app. So frustrating. This isn’t the first complaint. So many people complain and the company does nothing about it. Clip board and Eshyft never have these issues. Only this app.

Worst company to work for.

In my 6 years of working for them, I’ve learned it facility over you as a worker. YOU as a worker have to give the facility 72 hours of advance notice if you can’t make it to a shift otherwise it hurts your score. However, if they cancel on you more than 2 hours from a shift they don’t pay you for that at all. You can’t pick up another shift at that point because they’re all already taken because it’s 3-4 hours before a shift start. God forbid anything happen to you either. Car accident or whatever the case- you still need to make it in. Absolutely horrible company to work for. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for work. This ain’t the company.

Pro Facilities

The app is good for last-minute shifts and picking up when you need quick money. However, ShiftKey overall is more centered on facilities rather than the workers. There are too many instances of facilities, taking advantage of workers. Giving overload and patient ratios and not supporting nursing staff. Too many instances of facilities canceling last minute and getting out of paying cancellation or stating that Nursing staff canceled this shift to get out of cancel fees. ShiftKey needs to focus on nursing staff as well.
