Much needed update BUT still some issues
Finally has a working mobile deposit feature. Some issues are that I have to create a SOL passcode every time I want to login even though I already created it the first time. Mobile deposit camera doesn’t automatically capture picture even though it’s on auto capture and when manually capturing, it doesn’t recognize the check so I would end up needing to wait around until the auto capture decides it wants to work. Also doesn’t have an option to opt out of updating password.

Mobile Deposit Issue
The new updated mobile deposit is terrible. I get an error every time with the auto function off saying that it cannot read my check and to move further or closer and WITH the auto function on, it doesn’t take the photo AT ALL until once in a blue moon randomly when I’m moving. It’s ridiculous, FIX this ASAP, please.

Great upgrade – much easier to use!
After the recent upgrade, the Shinhan Bank America mobile app has become much more convenient and user-friendly. The interface feels cleaner and smoother, and everything is easy to find.
Mobile deposit works very well now - the check scanning is fast and accurate, and the process is simple with no issues so far. Overall, the app feels more stable and reliable compared to before.
Great improvement and a very solid banking app. Highly recommended!

Deposit function terrible
I don’t know how many times I had to take the same picture of the front and back of the check. Each and every time there is an error message. it is so aggravating they need to fix the software. So that he can intelligently read the amounts on the check. I never have this problem with Chase or TD Bank.

Bring back 2000 tech in 2023 update
Ah what? On screen keyboard from 2000 Internet PC on iPhone in 2023?
That keyboard was meant to avoid keyboard/mouse capture malware on PC.
How out of touch this developer is thinking this 2 decades old tech is more secure than iOS builtin password manager support?
Now, instead of using iOS builtin secure and easier method to enter credential, I have to look up complex password letter by letter on onscreen keyboard that anyone can look over the shoulder.
It’s like you’re intentionally making this bank app least secure as possible.
Not having Apple Wallet compatible debit card was an issue but now new app update that intentionally making login less secure.
I guess it’s time I change the bank to one who is more security conscious.
