Professional Admins

I hired a shoveler to go to my parent's home. Not only was the shoveler unprofessional and rude, but he didn't finish the job! Thank goodness for cameras because I was able to capture his lewd act as well. The administrators replied quickly, rectified the problem and compensated me.

Don’t work for them

I have been a shoveler for shoveler for over four years. I was a premium shoveler. I got all the way to a job that I signed up for.(the very first job I ever got in four years.) it was already done before I even got there before the time was due. He said he had a neighbor do it and now I’m banned from the app do not work for these people. This is a scam app to steal your info.i had a window for 11-2. They said the guy tried to contact me , but I didn’t get anything and I’m not obligated to talk to this guy. I accepted the job. Wait until 2 pm , not 1:35 . I have a snowblower and would have been done in 15 minutes. Again your app is a scam that is being reported to nys as well as that customer is going on the local “do not shovel” list

Disgusting

I hired a shoveler to go to my parent's home today and not only did they not complete the full job but one of the men urinated on the house. I sent an email to the company and all they did was apologize but are not willing to compensate me!

Horrible!

Different scheduled shovelers canceled three times and each time the price went up by $80 to $100. This app wants over $200 to shovel a small driveway. Even then, nobody would probably show up. Absolute insanity.

Shovler never showed

Terrible reliability. Shovler assured me that they would
come over chat and never showed up. No way to talk to support in real time. Missed a medical appointment as a result. Do not use.

People often add extra work

I’ve done jobs before on this app! And had issues with customers’ adding on work that not listed in the jobs. I’ve accepted a been told they are not going to pay if I don’t the extra work asked! So as a shoveler we should have a number to call to report any issues accepting a job for 3 task and end up doing 5 pictures should be mandatory plus a contract number for customers and shovelers please things like this shouldn’t happen!!!

No shows - app doesn’t control

The concept of this app is great but it’s missing a lot. I tried to use this app for snow removal services for my elderly father. I communicated with the shoveler the urgency as he needed to leave the next morning for a doctors appointment. The shoveler never arrived at the scheduled time. The app should give the shoveler a grace period before it actively finds you another person. Instead you’re left waiting hours for someone that never comes.

Shovler Extortion

Had an agreed-upon rate for my house to get shoveled today after the overnight blizzard. Overestimated the scope intentionally to ensure that I didn’t get my job canceled (or ignored), and even offered slightly more than Shovler recommended. The job got accepted within minutes of posting and I went to work, feeling comfortable that my house was taken care of. It was expensive but it was also a blizzard. Six hours after the person was scheduled to arrive (and three hours after the end of the scheduled job window), the person finally calls me to say he’s running late and asks if I still want him to come. I tell him yes, and then he proceeds to tell me that his brother was the one who accepted the job and that $360 was too low and it would be $600 if I wanted him to come. At this point it was already getting dark and my property hadn’t been shoveled at all. I reached out to Shovler and their advice - even after I had been waiting for 10 hours since making the reservation this morning - was to cancel that job and request a new one. They were unable/unwilling to actually be helpful.

Save yourself the trouble (and money and time) and just find someone on Taskrabbit or even Facebook tbh. This one ain’t it.

Effective

App is easy to use and offers flexibility in scope of work requested and scheduling. Have used the app twice and in both cases received swift, quality service from the team that arrived. App itself could would benefit from a FQA, esp regarding how/when payment is made.

I would say that shovler is a great way to make some extra money and if you got nothing else to do....
although there are a few issues with people requesting the work and the app not having a way to fix the problem before you start or except the work...
ex. would be 2 car driveway 300 feet long for $50 bucks...do i only do a 2 car spot or the whole driveway, if i do it then im subject to being there for a long time doing the job or taking the chance that im not going to get payed based on what the user rates me at..
and then there are the people that dont fill the correct info in such as salting but request it to be done which is going to reflect you're rating to get payed less...mostly seems to happen with landlords.!
Other than that as long as you know what you're looking for it's a great way to make extra cash

Paid $ to not be done properly at all

I paid for someone to shovel my snow only for them to remove snow from my car and distance it from my car and the snow. This app doesn’t make sure the employees do a good job. The one who did it for me didn’t even scoop the snow under my car so I had to shovel the snow again which defeats the purpose of paying for someone to do it. When I told this app the employee didn’t shovel my sides, back, and under they only have me $10 refund which is disappointing.

why ?

So we just had a huge snow storm in NY and i was recommended to try this app as it looks to be a decent way to secure some extra income during this inclement weather.
i created an account, filled out all the fields & in my opinion kept it very simple as i’m planning to do the work by myself. there are 100’s of not thousands of cars and property still in shoveled in my immediate area that desperately need the help but for the past week, ive been notified of only 2 opportunities. and both were gone almost immediately. i’ve tweaked the filter different ways to give me more options to no avail.
the 1 person whom recommended the app to me managed to secure one job which he spent a significant amount of time to complete the job & i saw the pictures. he did very well but it’s been over a week & he has yet to had access or to receive the funds from that job. know i know you have to go through all the verification process and stripe to set up your wallet but to my understanding, you can’t accept a job until that process is complete so if he was able to do so, why would it take so long to have access to the funds ?
i will immediately deactivate account due to the potential & would recommend anyone in need to look elsewhere, maybe marketplace only because the kind of uncertainties only create poor business transactions bet ppl where there needs to be some fine tuning to the app. the idea is great, ill give a star for that but as of this review, it’s useless and uncertain to a degree primarily in the customer/contractor communication & payment points of transaction. i had high hopes for this app and maybe in the future it can be greater but the snow is here now !
i need this today and i just can’t trust it or rely on it. i’m sorry for such a somber review but this an honest & unbiased assessment from someone whom was totally excited to try this app in the digital age we live in today January 2026.

Accountability

First off I am going to be very excited to start this shoveling job when the stupid stripe thing approves me, which is ridiculous. How you guys set it up because Kalshi is simple with stripe. Literally you use it as a cash out method that’s it. Why do I physically have to sign up with and go through this whole ridiculous process!!! Anyways I can’t wait to start the app because I will for sure complete any jobs info and not be lazy like other people are reporting And that really disgust me because I am an actual worker that will actually do the job and complete it in full and when other people have bad experience, they may not come back. That’s what upsets me because you have good apples and you have bad apples and a bad apple. It’s gonna make me look bad.
When people are done with the job, they don’t have to record video and take pictures like even a video record. That would be simple to prove that it was done. Is there even messaging in the app between the customer and the worker? Like I said, the strip thing is ridiculous and you should have automatic payments instant After the worker and the customer agree hundred percent after that you should be paid automatically instantly to a debit card the right thing you guys got going on having to sign up creating an account wait to get approved that crazy please work on the app make it more amazing make it more better and advertise it so more people see it and hold worked more accountable I want to use this app and not be looked at badly because of other people being lazy it’s an AMAZING app idea

This app is trash

People are paying way less than the job is worth! Jobs are far gas and transportation not included driving 6 miles to make $40 If you’re looking to shovel 22inch of snow in a 8 car parking lot for 40 bucks this app is for you all $90 gigs you have to buy the app a subscription to have access to higher paying jobs and you pay percentage of every job you do

Saved Us!

We recently had a foot of snow and had hired people that didn’t show up. I tried this app and the shoveler that came was amazing! He did a wonderful job and was great at communicating throughout the whole process.

Will be seeking out my lawyer

I recently booked a snow removal service for my car through the app. Afterward, I received a text from the assigned shoveler asking for a full photo of my car to see how “big” the job was. He then told me he accepts Zelle, Cash App, and other payment methods, even though I had already paid through the app. This was confusing and unprofessional. I attempted to contact Shovler for clarification but was unable to reach anyone. Overall, this experience was disappointing.
