About

Sidestep is a quiet neighborhood utility for people who live near a Major League Baseball stadium. It answers one gameday question: **is there a home game today, and how will it affect my day?** No scores. No standings. No fan content. Just a calm, one-line answer and a few practical tips so you can plan around the crowds instead of getting stuck in them. **How it works** Pick your neighborhood once. Sidestep checks today's MLB schedule for your local ballpark and tells you: • Whether there's a home game today, and what time it starts • How much the game is likely to affect traffic and transit in your area • A couple of short, specific suggestions — leave earlier, avoid a certain street, skip a certain route That's it. Open the app, get your answer, get on with your day. **Home Screen widgets** Add a small or medium Sidestep widget to your Home Screen for a glanceable answer every morning. Tap through for the full timeline and map links when you need them. **Neighborhoods covered** 29 neighborhoods across 27 metros in the US and Canada — one for each MLB home ballpark currently in use. Coverage includes: Anaheim · Arlington · Atlanta · Baltimore · Boston · Bronx · Chicago (Wrigleyville and Armour Square) · Cincinnati · Cleveland · Denver · Detroit · Flushing · Houston · Kansas City · Little Havana · Los Angeles · Miami · Milwaukee · Minneapolis · Philadelphia · Phoenix · Pittsburgh · San Diego · San Francisco · Seattle · St. Louis · St. Petersburg · Toronto · Washington DC **What Sidestep is not** • Not a sports app — no scores, standings, rosters, or tickets • Not a traffic app — no live maps; we link out to Apple Maps and Transit when you need routing • Not alarmist — impact is surfaced as plain language, not red badges or urgent warnings Think of it as a transit sign for your neighborhood on game day. **Privacy** Sidestep doesn't require an account. No login, no tracking, no ads. Your chosen neighborhood is stored on your device. --- Schedule data comes from public sources (currently the MLB Stats API). Sidestep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball, any MLB club, venue, or event organizer whose schedule appears in the app.
