No issues

I’ve used this app for the last 4 years and it’s been faultless. I’m not sure why people have had negative things to say but it’s made life so much easier than sticking printed off pieces of paper in my pockets. Registering was as easy as… No issues with transferring tickets to friends / family and always works when at the circuit.

Bloat and garbage

Apple wallet exists and doesn’t demand your personal data

Data harvesting

This app only exists to get contact information for contacts. It replaces qr codes via email with something far to complicated

Privacy violation!

When buying the ticket online there’s no clear warning an app is required to obtain your ticket. Having paid for your ticket you then have to surrender your personal data including location tracking!!! This is my last ticket at Silverstone after this event. There’s no justification for this level of intrusion.

Mr

A terrible app - they are hell bent on locking you , your data and everyone you know into sharing all your data .
Not required Impossible to delete . -10 stars MF

I dont get the hate

Some people are saying oh it’s so annoying I genuinely don’t see what the problem is. I guess its a bit annoying if your phone dies but i cant and haven’t been able to see why everyone hates it

Stupid

Why can’t I add tickets to my Apple wallet from the email? Why do I have to download this app and give all my personal details? This is extremely disappointing Silverstone.

Data harvesting

Why do you need my name, address and mobile to just download my tickets. Absolute garbage app

Truly awful

Can’t download tickets to wallet so need to open app. It’s basically a data farming exercise from Silverstone.

This ad has ads

It’s just disgraceful how much personal data they require you to type into this app just to access the tickets you’ve paid for. And before you see your ticket on the top of the screen is an advert for eBay. Total insane!

Should be illegal

As others have said, shame on F1 and silverstone for forcing us to hand over data when we’ve paid a ridiculous sum to watch the event

Silly

Why can’t I just access my tickets from my emails… like previously and everywhere else

blatant data mining

why do i need an app and to enter loads of personal data, including wanting access to ALL my contacts just to get my tickets?

you use any of my personal data i will consider it a breach of GDPR and take action

other venues/ events dont need this. no consideration for people who dont have smart phones; my parents!; nor if there are phone/ mobile issues on the day.

just a blatant grab for your private data; totally shamefull.

Other large sports venues don’t need an app…?

I’ve reluctantly downloaded the app as Silverstone appear to otherwise hold the tickets I’ve paid for to ransom. As another reviewer suggested I’ve inputted some random information to return the favour to Silverstone for forcing this. I’ve also checked if they’re downloadable from my account on the website but it says not.

I was at Wembley yesterday and attend Premier League football matches regularly, who strangely haven’t ever needed me to download an app to harvest my data unnecessarily - they provide the ability to download tickets to my Apple wallet.

Please catch up Silverstone rather than continuing to enforce the app which is clearly frustrating your once happy race goers. It would be easy to add the Apple wallet option as an alternative for those that don’t want the app.

Absolute junk

All I wanted to do was transfer a ticket. 30 mins of my life lost

What a Palaver!

I only wanted to buy a ticket to one event at Silverstone and was forced to download this app, which has put me right off. I can’t just download and print a paper ticket and instead have to clog up my phone with your app which is painful to use, requires an invasive level of detail and demands all the information again that I gave when I bought the ticket. What happens now if my phone battery fails after driving for 2 hours to Silverstone on Saturday? I shall be deleting this App when I get home and am unlikely to be back.

Useless app

To many personal questions for such a useless app.

A backward step

A broken phone screen meant my pass couldn’t be scanned. Woman on the gate said ‘I’ve sent people home for less’. She turned me away. Luckily I went to another gate and just walked straight in – the staff there didn’t even ask to see my pass. They probably saw the expression on my face and were already tired of arguments with unhappy customers.

Blatant Data harvesting.

Why email tickets like a reputable company when we can force the suckers to use our “app” and scrape their data. POS app instantly wanted access to my contacts…

Security Risk

Why on earth does Silverstone need more personal information to book tickets than I need to provide to book a flight. You can fully expect they will be hacked at some point so my advice is don’t put any of your real personal information in here - add a fake birthday etc. I put my address as the Silverstone circuit so hopefully they’ll spam themselves.

Completely garbage decision from greedy executives who don’t care about the fans
