Easy to use to do e-transfers but unable to do e deposit with cheques recent glitch
Simplii has been great to use in term of transferring between accounts, sending e-transfers, and setting up bills. However, recently I’m unable to do an edeposit, every time I open my camera to take a photo through the app, I see a white or light grey screen and can’t see the camera view. But my camera app is working fine. Something is off and I’m up to the recent update. Let me know if is an issue for others and how this can be fixed, thanks!

Disappointed by the support team
Terrible bank! I called them to dispute a fraudulent transaction on my account in April, it’s now July and they say they made a mistake and ended up not filing the chargeback yet I have been waiting thinking they’re doing an investigation

If you plan on using the app to manage your finances while
you are out of the country, you absolutely need to enable push notifications. Despite many attempts and spending almost an hour on the phone with Simplii support, this just cannot be done. A quick online search shows that it’s a known problem.

It’s incredibly invasive and idc what excuse you make.
Bad app, now so buggy it freezes
Still BAD. Can’t get in. Requires a phone call or text, which doesn’t work. Deletes the push notification settings. Can’t get in. Cant set my phone for push notifications, bait my old one. CIBC updated their app and works far gooder than this junk.
Another update. Frequently can’t login. I sign in, it send a push notification code and then just hangs, never logging in. This happens 90% of the time. Very buggy and poor. The app says there is new security and yet it doesn’t work any better. And clearly they don’t read these or care.
Can’t get in even with their push notifications which always work. The app just hangs on login.
Don’t have issues with other banks on any of my devices.
CIBC/Simplii is now a joke.
Tangerine app is better and more stable.

Unusable once you sign out
I cannot use the app anymore after my card number changed when Simplii updated the branding on the card and sent me a new card. The new card has a new number and the login fields on the app are not accessible once you log out. I cannot enter my card number and password or click the log in button. It is completely unusable now.

I haven’t had my account for a week yet and I’ve already been insulted, brushed off or ignored … they are not equipped or trained to help someone with disabilities… their only email has no ability to actually help anyone
E-Deposit Feature is Broken
When I try to use it, I just get a white rectangle on my screen. It no longer activates my camera.
Inaccurate Balance
I don’t know if it’s only me experiencing this… but the current balance and available funds are NEVER accurate which is very frustrating for me. I used to like this app, but now the more I use it the more annoyed I get. Please PLEASE FIX THIS, cause at this point I don’t even know my true account balance till days later. Who the hell wants to wait a whole week or two to know how much they ACTUALLY have in their account…? Ya, no one. I want to be able to use my account without worries.

Search option
It would be nice if the search option would give you the ability to look by a name. for example type in water, and any building or transaction with water it included in it would populate.
Won’t login
Very unreliable to see account balances, half the time doesn’t even complete the login to see the balances and most times is very slow - nothing to do with my location or wifi connection.

Authorization holds
I don't like that app doesn't show the actually authorization holds when payments are made the account just holds the money without stating what it's for
Get rid of offers
There is currently no way to dismiss an offer - the annoying “1 alert” badge won’t go away. Nor is there any way to simply disable all offers.
Good app
The app works well for me, not sure why there are so many negative comments, I haven’t had any issues.
Worst app on my phone
This is the worst app on my phone. Only lets me login to my account 10% of the time. Have called Simplii about the problem and they told me to change the password. Have done so, does not fix the issue. Horrible customer service
