Fall from grace
Fake Ads
Good, but
However, recently the touch sensitivity of advertisements seems to have been increased a lot and I am forever opening new tabs for adverts I have zero interest in, obviously in a bid to improve the metrics. All apps with adverts seem to do it but it’s pretty off putting and annoying. The developers could do with changing this back for better user experience.
Further Downhill.
Touchscreen issue
Now just broken
If this is a case of only the latest OS being fully supported and I have to choose between a new iPad and a functional Sky News app, so be it. Bye, bye Sky!
Too much video
Too many video reports
Still no Dynamic type support
You continue to ignore a basic accessibility feature and don’t support dynamic type sizing in app and live sections.
Maybe get the Sky sports app Developers to sort the Sky news app as that has dynamic type support in all areas.
So so poor
Not happy with the app
Short video clips
Gone downhill

Downgrades?
In response to the Developer’s response. On TWO separate previous occasions I sent them hardware and software confirmation along with screen shots. Can’t get the staff these days? Left hand v right hand conundrum!
Since latest updates apps and iOS on an iPhone the app opens fine first time but if one goes back later it fails to open/download. The solution appears to be to close the app down and reopen. Other users have reported this and I have, to no avail, reported this to the developers with full hardware and software detail including screen shots.
Lots of users have commented about the intrusive adds but to me the worst is the placing of an add across the top of the page on some articles. On an iPad in landscape orientation this takes up about 1/3 of the display and when scrolling through an article it disappears behind the add - appalling . Doesn’t happen with the BBC news app, speaking as a licence payer, but being a diamond Sky Subscriber makes no difference to this app!
AS A SKY SUBSCRIBER I ALSO HAVE THE EXTRA COST ADVERT FREE ADD ON. SHOULD THIS NOT ALSO INCLUDE THIS INTRUSIVE APP’S CONTENT!
Also would add that other reviewers have commented - more and more podcast articles. Not everyone wants this as it may not be convenient to listen, with or without head phones when a written article can be discretely read without disturbing others. It is also indiscriminate for users with hearing issues! By all means keep the podcasts but provide a textual report as well - the BBC does!

My favorite is Professor Michael Clarke
