Setting layout is poor
I had a SkySafari Pro 6 it was very easy to use. With SkySafari Pro 7 version the layout of the settings is awkward. You have a list of options and then you have to traverse across the other side of the screen to find the toggles to activate that function. It's very easy to accidentally toggle the wrong function given the long distance between your option and a toggle switch across one side of the screen to the other. Very poor human factors design.

Inaccurate ISS positions
Even after updating minor body data this is the case. So if this is inaccurate what about the rest?

I use APOD every morning and search the topic astro object. But more and more, “Item is not found” returns. I’ve been using series versions of this app. It is clearly time to improve the base data base.

New Selected Object Orbit Bug
There is a “white line” stuck on the screen now with the previously selected object orbit. The white line stays on the screen and won’t go away. Is this a scheme to get users to pay another $50 for an unimpressive upgrade???
I purchased the premium SkySafari ages ago.
I have had the pro version for many years. I feel like the changes have dumb my version down. It’s unfortunate because I love this app.

Un superbe outil
Très bon outil pour l’observation. Permet de repérer rapidement les objets recherchés. Utilisation efficace avec les montures, caméras etc
Expensive
Bought 7 Pro for $29.99 in August of 2025. Unfortunately, we haven’t had many opportunities to try the app, but it does seem to be very well done. However, getting 8 Pro upgrade prompts to the tune of an additional $34.99 is a bit much. We’re not the target audience for this one.

App is good but I find it hard to recognize which version I’m in.
Used to be great, now it’s just for entertainment
I have used Sky Safari for decades. With every update, it has morphed into some sort of game/social thing. Less and less useful for a remarkably experienced user such as myself. Live Sky is totally useless IMO. I’m a solo observer, thank you! And what’s with the sound effects? Really? (Yes, I’ve turned them off)

Doesn’t work with Skywire
SkySafari 7 Pro insists on a wireless WiFi connection. Despite what the help file says SkySafari 7 Pro does NOT work with a Skywire serial connection to a iPhone or iPad. I spent several frustrating hours trying to create a preset using a Skywire to no avail. The setup menu does not give the option of using a Skywire connection.
